NZ 33-10 Argentina. Only a few minutes left.

Safe to say the semi-final line up will be:

Wales vs France
Australia vs New Zealand.

I can safely say that every team in the QFs played with a high degree of passion apart from England

Every team would have beaten us on yesterdays performance, in fact I dont think we put one decent performance in all WC, the Scots deserved to go through more

Could not agree its a case of england just being at a world cup thinking they have a right to win the thing. where have we seen that before.

for me it was the lack of passion......I mean take Lawes, has the physical attributes to be an absolute monster but his body language is like he could give a fuck.......Easter for me apart from looking like the missing member of the Village People played with a bit of umph!

I didn't realise Wales' captain had been sent off. Francois Pienaar is pretty livid with the decision.

that red card killed the game and was a fucking joke too. im not welsh but felt awful for htem. shocking decision, no malice, was a bad tackle and penalty yes but not a red. at worst a yellow

Do France do well in any sports without the ref winning the big games for them?

Great effort from the Welsh; they should be proud of themselves.

I'm sure Shawcross had no malice when he broke Ramsey's leg. However, you have to punish any player carrying out a dangerous tackle whether malicious or otherwise. He knew the rules and should have known that his tackle was dangerous.

This tournament will forever be remembered as the one where the ref decided a semi final and all bit ensured that the Final will be a non event. They should just give the trophy to tomorrows winner, pack up and go home.

Rugby

A team that scores the only try of the game loses.

Thats like a football team scoring the only goal of the game and losing.

Saw the red card tackle. Looked no worse than most of the tackles ive seen watching rugby.

Wales would have been a better bet against tomorrowd winner, even with 14 men, 13 if you miss out Hook whose contribution was rubbish, they were all over the French.
Halfpenny was really unlucky with his monster kick.

And you're right the ref got it all wrong with his assessment of the tackle that lead to the red, its a rugby not Come Dancing!

As i mentioned earlier I'm no rugby fan but will always support NZ in everything and last night our boys were awesome. Aussie's whipped and deservedly so. Just wish the game wasn't on so late, 9pm kick-off in your own coutnry is just daft. Had to get some sleep b4 work so couldn't watch us beat Sunderland until now :d

Isn't there something usually riding on it? I remember back in the 90s when England lost to Lomu in the semis and they were in the play off and there was talk that the winner gets automatic qualification for the next WC

Oddly I find myself cheering on the French...despite the way Wales were knocked out.

It could be that France have won me over because they've showed 'great mental strength and team spirit' and really deserved to win this final. Or it could be that I don't really give a shit and just want some drama.

The truth is probably somewhere in between.

The thing I don't get about the haka is why the opponents have to watch. I'd happily just let them waste their energy and keep warming up or summin.

Well, they should watch, but laugh and point at one or two of them to put them off.
