Her clothes just fell off by accident?
She did mean to get them out but she thought she was in a secluded spot.
Although, if you're one of the most famous women in the world and you sunbathe topless you surely have to consider that someone might want to take a photo of you doing so and with the zoom lenses these guys have she wouldn't have been able to see the photographer. Naive at best.

Wonder where you get those lenses from :ninja:

What i meant was she never meant to get them out for the world to see.

So it wasnt Kates idea to remove her clothes? Harry was in a hotel room and that was private.

Theres no difference.

Well Duh. but she never intended the world to see it, where as harry, his was uploaded onto the internet by people where he was, so it was all seen anyways.

Had it been any other celebrity there wouldn't be this furor and the British press wouldn't have taken the moral high ground. Double standards.

Wish they'd just foad.

Also Harry living out his childhood action man fantasies cost two US Marines their lives yesterday as well as injuring other NATO troops, they are nothing but cretins.

You have a point. If it was anyone else in the public eye then there wouldn't nearly be the same faux outrage. It's also a bit rich the press saying it's reminiscent of the hounding Diana got.... when they were the ones doing the hounding.

And if the press' reputation hadn't been so low after Leveson and in the last few days, they'd have published them in record time.

Sad about the GMP police officers shot dead today after being lured to a property whilst answering a routine call.

Of course, if the Winsor review gets its way, officers will be starting off on £19k a year.

£19k for a 24-hr shift pattern, involving contact with a surprising number of people who wish death upon you. Involving calls requiring you to tell a couple that their only child has been killed on a railway line, or to visit a crack den and search amongst HIV-soaked needles for evidence or to cell-watch for hours a 14-yo girl who is adamant she wants to kill herself but whose idea of self-harm extends as far as banging her head lightly on the cell wall. To generally be attacked, sworn at and spat at at every hour of the day or night. For £19k a year. How much does the Home Sec earn? How many of those things has she had to do? If police pay should be low because job applications are high, how low should her pay be? I think there are quite a few people who'd fancy themselves as Home Secretary.

What a joke. Society rewards those who obscure the wealthy from justice or unscrupulously sift millions from the public, whilst the people who wipe your grandparents' arses for a living are lucky to get £12k a year.

nowadays they have to start off as volunteers as well and work their way up. friend of mine is an aspiring policewoman and started as a volunteer not long ago, said she got a call whilst on duty to attend a bunch of youths causing havoc in the local park at night. she went there with a male cop and it was pitch black. heard someone running towards them at full speed so both the cops jumped to the floor. the male cop done a bit of quick thinking and pushed his foot out to try and trip the teen onto the floor and done so successfully. they turned the light on him and he had a knife in his hand. they were 2 seconds away from getting stabbed had it not been for quick thinking and jumping to the floor... and they're not even getting paid. madness.

there's a lot of paperwork involved and it gets quite tiring apparently. its all way over fantasised in tv drama's like The Bill and CSI.

if i was into the police force id look at going into the detective side of it but im pretty sure you need uni for that.

V-Pig
19-09-2012, 10:50 PM
Being a special's not so bad from the point of view that you don't assume as much responsibility as a regular in terms of paperwork. And there is a lot of paperwork. For example, your average domestic incident, involving no actual disclosed criminal offences, will set you back over an hour of paperwork, sometimes two hours.

But yeah, specials seem the way to go at the moment to have any chance. Policing on the cheap.

It is a bit big, isn't it. I was gonna try and get him to get to a nice outskirt-y place I could grab him with minimal deviation. Could just tell him to get to Gatwick. It's only a half hour train...

Letters
20-09-2012, 06:12 AM
Round my way isn't too far from the M25. Cockfosters station (top of the Piccadilly Line) is only a 10 minute diversion there and back. But it depends which way you're going round the M25 and whether that junction is convenient to come off at. It's Junction 24 which is after the M1 if you're going clockwise from Gatwick so that might not be any good.

Letters
20-09-2012, 06:13 AM
Or! The other end of the Picadilly Line is Heathrow. That's just off the motorway and would be on your way.
I've been picked up from there. It's easy to get to from Oakwood although it's a boring 90 minute Tube ride.
It depends where your friend lives in London too.
