The most pointless BBC live broadcast ever?

Watch live coverage amid a daunting attempt to pull the shipwrecked Costa Concordia upright.

The ship has been lying on its side ever since the ship hit rocks off the Tuscan island of Giglio in January 2012, with the loss of 32 lives.

Salvage workers are attaching giant metal chains and cables to the ship, which weighs more than 114,000 tonnes and is roughly the length of three football fields.

Righting the ship is expected to take up to 12 hours.

“I must say it is expected.

“Technically he has improved a lot and when you look before - when I watched a lot of the tapes - I always thought he's in the right position in the box, just he was always a fraction short or too early or too late. But he was always in the right position.

“It is down to composure. His first touch was perfect, then he could finish well, and that's where I believe he has improved a lot.”

there are heaps of spares on twitter though if you want to go.

i do it that way, being a red member its only the odd game like wba that i would get points, whereas spares on twitter so are easy that i use them. but if you do it, make sure you do it by paypal. if its a scam, they get your money back for you :good:

How easy is it for Reds with no points to get tickets for away league games? I know there's no chance of any high profile fixtures but what about games that would be Cat C if they were at home? I'm hoping to get to Palace away if it's possible, just waiting for them to release details to see.

Ollie the Optimist
17-09-2013, 08:16 PM
red memebers at home are fine. 3000 tickets (or about that) get put aside for red members for every home game. so if you book on the day they come out, you will be fine. unless its spurs etc then you need to be there for the minute they go online as they usually sell out in minutes.

for away games, really difficult. ive struggled. in the last three seasons, the only ones ive seen go to reds with no credits, are cup games and some obscure league games that where end of season where we were clearly out of the race not playing for anything

Low.

Palace away? No chance. All the London games sell out like hot cakes. Fulham away is a favourite, for example.

You might get lucky with 1 or 2 up north but now we've signed a world class player I think people will reignite their interest so even shitty northern games will sell out too.

Andre Villas-Boas claimed Arsenal are in a ‘negative spiral’ after goals from Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon gave Tottenham a 2-1 win in the north London derby, opening a seven-point lead over their arch-rivals.

The victory moved Spurs back into third in the Premier League with Arsenal fifth, five points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea.

And Gunners boss Arsene Wenger suffered the ignominy of Spurs fans singing about how they hope he stays on at the Emirates.

Villas-Boas knows Arsenal are not out of the hunt for Champions League qualification – last year they closed a ten-point gap to finish above Spurs in third – but believes today’s result dealt Wenger’s men a massive psychological blow.

Arsenal are now five points adrift of the Champions League places (Picture: AP)
‘It shifted very, very quickly [last year], so it is not a big margin yet for us to be completely safe,’ said the Portuguese.

‘[But] it can have a direct effect on their motivation because the difference from last year is we are on an upward spiral in terms of confidence and they are in a negative spiral in terms of results – and to be out of that negative spiral is extremely difficult.’

Villas-Boas, however, is determined to retain a sense of perspective.

‘We still have some difficult games to play against big teams,’ he added.

Wenger claimed his team should have won, but acknowledged the size of the task they now face to finish in the top four.

‘It will be a massive challenge,’ he said.

cant wait to be in a posistive spiral then
