Jimmy Hill has passed away. He and Brian Moore provided many of my earliest and best memories of football.

He was quite and innovator as well - responsible for 3 points for a win and lifting the maximum wage.

Debatable whether the maximum wage thing was a good thing, 3 points definitely was.

Quite an important figure in the modern game.

Always disliked him, still do.
