Not that we can take this as a given but I really would like to see some of our squad players like Giroud, Gabriel and Elneny be given some time in this game. We should be able to beat Basle at home without Ozil and Alexis tbh.

Hopefully we go in a bit stronger than that and I think we will. We've had our fingers burnt before underestimating lesser teams and that's with a full line-up. Zagreb, Anderlecht and Olympiacos are all worth remembering. With the toughest away match out of the way in Paris, we need to make the most of these games. Although knowing our luck even if we do finish top of our group, Barca and Bayern will conspire to finish second in theirs and we'll still draw them in the next round.Quote:

Yeah resting players has never really been a useful exercise for us. At the moment we're confident and playing well, no need to try anything different.
