Raya 7.5 - Largely comfortable and sprang quickly on anything dangerous


Timber 7 - Looks far more comfortable at right back


Saliba 7 - Untroubled


Gabriel 7.5 - Kept Awonyi well marshalled


Calafiori 7 - Bit Rusty after few weeks out, but no big errors


Jorginho 6.5 - Bit careless at times


Merino 7 - Better than in recent games, but really he’s no more an 8 than Rice is


Odegaard 8 - Made everything happen


Saka 8 - Excellent goal, unlucky not to have more than one


Trossard 6 - As have said many times, seems to be trying too hard


Jesus 6.5 - Team play decent, but as much offensive threat as Hasbulla

Partey 8 - Absolute pile driver into the far corner


Zinchenko 7 - Hopeless defensively but created decent opportunities going forward


Nwaneri 8 - The introductory goal he’s deserved, would be hugely surprised if that’s his last one this season


Sterling 7 - Decent cameo rounded off with an assist


Kiwior N/A - Not really on long enough to have much of an impact


The only criticism that can be levelled today is that we probably should have scored more, but I think Sels made a few good saves, and as long as we are creating such good opportunities i am confident we will stick them away. It should be noted that we started without four what I regard as four key first team players today and only one of them came on from the bench.
