Pitch is cutting up. India owe it to Virinder Shitwag for cashing in in the morning.
400+ looks a very good total and I think they'll get that. The likes of Bresnan are bureaucratic irrelevances here. Men of the day are Pujara and Swann.
I'm suprised cripps is missing the opportunity to post after a sehwag 100.
Sehwag's got a test batting average of 50, you can't say he's shit.
All fat jokes aside, agreed. He's played some brilliant innings, maybe the only one who could score multiple doubles and triples at more than a run a ball. Today he deserves his dues because most openers would have been content to play themselves in to cash in later, but he scored from the off. He's just annoying. Outside Asia he'll turn into Afridi and chuck his bat at everything costing India a good start.
He's also fat.
You need a different skillset to succeed in England, New Zealand, South Africa etc which he doesn't have. That's leveled out his average. Overall I'd still have him in an XI of the last ten years for his unique exploits.
****
I don't think we obeyed Cook and restricted India. 507-6, Pujara just got his double century.
India declared on 521-8.
England 29-2.
Compton and Anderson out.
Following on this time tomorrow...
And now Trott
31-3.
Nighwatchmans.
The Ian Bell one. :haha:
England are 177-8. Trott and Bell scoring a massive 0 between them.
Prior and Broad are still giving it a go, Prior is on for his +1 50.
187-9, Broad goes for 25.
England bowled out for 191.
Final day tomorrow and the pitch has flattened out. England 10 runs ahead with five in the shed (I didn't intend this to be a rap). Prior playing another great innings. India certainly need early wickets tomorrow - barring a period nearing stumps today, the bowling did not cause too many problems. I suspect Cook won't be making a reckless maverick declaration after lunch, but bat long enough...
The bad news for England is Gambhir will not bat.
England :haha:
Overrated pile of wank.

Broad is such a cock. Every time England lose he comes out with something stupid.
I've got nets tonight at 9. I'm going to not move my feet, eat heavily and aim for cow-corner. Because that's what it takes to succeed in International criced.
criced
That was deliberate! It's the Welsh spelling.
Other acceptable names: cric, village (particular if at club level) and kirkut (Asian clique will get that).
Yeah, alright Charlie.
Willage kirkut.
Sehwag
Aussies racked up 482-5 on the first day at Adelaide! :haha:
Clarke got his fourth double century of the year.
Amazing score. I was certain it was a record for one day in a Test match but apparently not.
Will be some good cric on this weekend. Injuns versus the Inglish on in the early hours.
As always - win the toss, win the game.
Indian wickets
Did you hear about Bell? He flew back for the birth of his child but missed it anyway. :haha:
Possible teams:
Sewage, Gambhir, Pujara, Tendulcan't, Kohli, Yoovradge, Dhoni, Ashwin, Zaheer, Ishant 'omgz y cant i take vickuts' Sharma, Ojha.
Cookie, Compo, Trotty, KP, Bairsy, Patellitubby, Priory, Broady, Swanny, Jimmy, Monty.
Bairsy. :haha:
That particularly tickled me for some reason.
Tendulkar
Awful voice.
(i've been militant for a while tbf. He has to go. not scoring in front of his fanboiz tomorrow will be a hammerblow)
Yeah I've turned on him too. He's the new Wenger.
His reaction speeds are shot. A no.4 (IMO the easiest position to score) has to average 70+ in a series in India. Tendulkar won't get close and even if he gets a ton in the series or a couple of 50's, the team would've been better off with shit like Raina in because even he could get big runs in India.
Good day's krikkit. Better pitch. Pujara's played really well again.
Monty takes 4. Indians below par at 266/6. Although the wicket does look more difficult, sometimes it completely evens out the next day. There's little consistency. Panesar took 4 wickets and had India down to 169-6 but Ashwin got 50 and Pujara gets another 100. He has scored 361 runs in the series without being out. His overall Test average atm is 85.5
They're talking about Ashwin's innings being a bonus. Nope. He's legit better than most of the top 7.
Tendulkar
Awful
Yeah, he averages 43. He's like Swann - fairly reliable as a batsman.
And Harbhajan might score some runs too. But if, by chance, he does play himself in, a couple of words by Anderson and Harbhajan will definitely sky one.
India were bowled out for 327, England are 112-2 in reply. Cook on 51, KP on 31.
