Glaziers have got absolutely no sense of humour. Assholes.
Hope it's the usual shit media speculation. Completely baseless so far. As such, we can only hope said baseless speculation will only serve to strengthen their resolve to prove everyone else wrong and stick with King David.
I hope so too, but I'm a little concerned that United have refused to comment. If they were still fully behind him and in it for the long haul as they have been keen on highlighting, you would expect them to have quashed it fairly quickly.
Lets face facts - the Moyes sacking has been only a question of when rather than if for the entire season (we outdid ourselves by only taking a point from them over 2 games, TBH). Believe me - the absence of Moyes next season will be a small factor against Citeh and Chavs improving and Liverpool consolidating. It was THIS season that we should have capitalised on our rivals' weaknesses.
He has to be sacked really. The defence seems to resolve around "giving him time", but he's pretty much displayed no signs of a plan or philosophy for the team. Rooney doesn't give a fuck anymore either, he knows he's set for the rest of his career now. He should have been sold and that would have been a pretty good statement from Moyes to make from the off.
TBH - I think that the big surprise is how long Manure have ridden with Moyes, despite almost not having had a single sign that he is anything other than out of his depth. TBH the Moyes Manure episode is up there with the most fucked up things ever to happen in the EPL.
This was always the fear.
That he'd be so out of his depth, too out of his depth that their board couldn't sit idly by and let him have another season. Let alone tasking him with rebuilding a squad.
As it is, I guess we have to hope they appoint someone based on name and status rather than someone proven or exciting. And maybe that the squad rebuild is equally as destructive as Ferguson leaving, that the WC impacts on their ability to sign the names they want, or the Glazers really don't have the money available, or Old Trafford sinks back into the dirt. Something, anything so they don't stop the rot.
If, by the grace of god, they did stick with him in some misplaced sense of loyalty, Redcafe will undoubtedly explode, Glazers Out, Green and Yellow. It'd be wonderful.
Shows how the game has changed. Ferguson was no better when he first arrived at Utd. Now the money is more important than the sport and Utd have a brand and merchandising deals to protect (mostly overseas). So teams don't get built over time now, they spring into being courtesy of a chequebook. Which deprives the fans too, not only do they have to shell out a whole lot more but they don't grow up with a team now, they grow up with a seat from which they can watch a parade of mercenaries go by. Moyes inherited Fergie's mess but he mustn't have the same character and strength as the latter because he couldn't wring the same set of results out. Maybe that's where Fergie went wrong, the Scottish, tea thrown in the face as a sign of love, hard as nails boy growing up in a shit hole - tough enough to boot the darlings to the results that are expected. Didn't work out that way. Moyes could have probably stabilised things and shaped his own team and started getting a few results given 2-3 seasons. It's not the modern way though.
