All 3 of those are the other CDM's we've been linked with so far now.
Cesc Fabregas has told friends in England that he wants to quit Barcelona for Manchester United. [Mail]
Fucking Bellend if so
i also find it very funny how the media are so desperate for moyes to get fabregas and for us not to get suarez.
they are hating every minute of this and now are just making up shit.
The media has always been United biased but i think the anti-Arsenal sentiments seem to go back to 2007, i think the media enjoyed a very close relationship with David Dein and since we got rid of him we have been more tight-lipped than Johnny Tight Lips

We might Suarez before 3rd August.Quote:
Liverpool have made Valencia striker Roberto Soldado their main target as they look to replace Luis Suarez. Tottenham have had a £22m offer for the 28-year-old Spain international rejected and Valencia want to sell Soldado for £26m by 3 August for tax purposes.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says Suarez's desire to join Arsenal "does not add up" and that he is already at a bigger club than the Gunners.

That bitch will be trending on Twitter thanks to me now.
From Arseblog: AW "We are ready to do quick deals but all the transfers do not depend only on us, but we are prepared to wait. It looks unlikely before the Emirates Cup. We still have a strong squad but we are there on the market to try to strengthen our team. With or without additions we can be title challengers next season."
I know a lot of what he says should be taken with a huge pinch of salt, but I do worry he genuinely believes that last bit.
Just reading Arseblog now and Wenger's comments are a massive worry. This will go down to deadline day and we might as well flip coin on signings if it comes down to that.
The club has done a massive number on the fans this year. We've gone from wanting a few solid signings to people actually talking about 2-3 club record signings in one window. We've picked the very hardest transfer to pursue. Incompetence? Genius? All that's left is to somehow paint the club as a victim in all this, I'm sure they can do it. I think they want Suarez but they also want to put Liverpool over a barrel. I guess they are hoping the situation gets desperate for them as the window close approaches, they will need to find a replacement in case Suarez starts his antics. For a squad already packed with talent this would be okay, take it or leave it works. But for our squad that desperately needs reinforcements it's a potential disaster. The chances of signing Suarez were always low. But we can say look, we were prepared to spend the British transfer record. We wanted to move fast. But it is everyone else's fault we couldn't sign anyone. There is always January, we will spend big in January...
So the excuses begin to surface, we've had plenty of time to deal with transfers any normal club would have been able to get players in by now in our situation.
I'm with NQ they're doing a number on the fans just like they do every summer, this Suarez deal has got a lot of things which don't make sense and they don't make sense because we're not fully committed to it IMO and that's down to the fact it's probably a ploy to make it look like we've tried hard but that sometimes sh*t happens.
We've seen all the "Jovetic Arsenal bound", "Higuain on his way to Arsenal", "Wenger swoops for Cesar" and "Bernard close to Arsenal move" BS and now it's focussed on Suarez. Being a big name we can drag this out for quite a while.
Very worrying indeed.
Fuck off Wenger, just bid the £50m, fuck off after you do so.
Getting sick of this really, I've genuinely got excited when we 'activated' Fellaini's contract, but we're probably not even going to get anyone good.
2-3 top players away from challenging, if not, same shit different year continues.
You silly muppets. You all should know by now that Wenger saying we're not close to signing anyone can only mean Suarez is coming home. :patrice:
Newcastle have made a loan offer for Remy and also bid for Gomis.
Continuing their French only policy then.
:tumbleweed: 4590 posts later plus the Higuain, Suarez & Bernard threads ......you have to hand it to Wumger & Arsenal
I might as well get pissed then.
we need sharia law tbf. put wenget into a burka. give him a ray-gun. chop his hands off for robbery.
solves all the problems. muslamics
Sanogo
That was kinda my point. If he genuinely believes we are strong enough to compete as it stands its litte bit scary.
In the old days what he said and what he actually did were definitely two diffferent things. But the trend in recent times hasn't been that at all. If he says we're not close to signing anyone, its probably the truth.
Part of what he says alludes to the situation in France where both PSG and Monaco have turned the value of what a decent player is worth on it's head....i.e signing Edinson Cavani for 54.5million.
I don't see that the board are just being tight because they can't personally stand to profit from our lack of spending....so it leaves two conclusions that the money isn't there at all and i don't think that's the case. Or that it's improving near on impossible to sign decent players for anything less than silly money.
Look at Higuain, he's a player that was desperate to leave the club yet Real Madrid still managed to get 40 million euros from Napoli for him.
I think Wenger is also very stubborn, it''s either the players he has targeted or no-one.....but don't get me wrong if the Champions of England are having trouble strengthening than it only stands to reason that we would as well....and to be fair our pre-season has gone a lot better than ours (although still leaves me worrying very much about our central midfield).
