Nothing is going to make up for them losing Bale, he carried them more than RVP carried us.
Nunez is a Champions League winner tbf.
Owen. :haha:
Baros/Carew
That worked out okay enough...!
London Evening Standard is reporting that we have shown interest in Fulham Striker Ronald Rooke, as well as having a keen eye for goal he is a qualified RAF pilot
I keep coming back to this thread to read something about our transfers and this is just super depressing... post twitter updates FFS!! Cant take this waiting period anymore..
If you saw some of the horror-show 'ITK' utterances on Twitter, you would think twice about requesting them, believe me...
Just for a laugh, here is one from ten minutes ago. Amazed the user in question hasn't been banned..
"just seen remy at Heathrow dropping off a friend for a flight. Asked him about Newcastle but he just ignored me! 👍 "
Convenient ignoring there . Although understandable...
Well precisely. Who gives a flying shit about a deleted Twitter account anyway.
He should have someone punch him in the balls or something each time he's wrong.
has anyone....actually stopped caring?
Emotional detachment it's the way to go!
This will possibly be the only piece of good news for Arsenal fans this summer.. though I dont know if Tottenham with all that money is good news!

Sounds like Sperz may have Soldado in the bag.
Fuckers.
Remember the competition in Europe is very hard at the moment. There’s a lot of money and not many players.
the money, havnt they been struggling a bit for finacining a new stadium or redevolping it? hence why they went all out for the olympic stadium. they will have seen how much we struggled with money since our move, if they got 100 million, id reckon they would put most of it towards new stadium. less money to borrow, less debt, quicker to pay off.
they dont always reinvest properly. last year sold van der vaart and modric. replaced with clint dempsey and adebayor. spurs are as guilty as us for going for the cheap option. and i wouldnt rule out liverpool with soldado (who seems to be a good player) coming in for him to replace suarez
and as we've already seen, champions league football is a huge drawer. doesnt matter how much money they have, you wont convince many top players after selling your best player and playing in the europa league to join you. especially as most top palyers atm play in the champions leauge.
That's their 2nd signing this summer that not only breaks their transfer record again but massively upgrades their starting XI.
Yeah I know....we've heard this all before, but we really do need to get our skates on and start upgrading our team. I am absolutely sick of Wenger gambling the season on internal solutions when this team is crying out for experienced quality additions. We have the money for christ sake, we're awash with it, what's the hold up???
I think that's a bit unfair tbh. We could go out and buy Soldado tomorrow but Suarez is better so we're rightly trying to sign him instead. Now if we had pots of money we could have signed Soldado and tried for Suarez as well but we don't.
When you're trying to buy super super quality it is difficult because the selling club don't want to sell and other clubs are inevitably interested in the player.
I still think we'll sign a couple of excellent players this window, but I think we'll miss out on Suarez and sign a star midfielder instead.
As for Paulinho who knows how good he'll be. The only experience of European football he's got is from playing in Poland and Lithuania - where he failed. Hardly a great pedigree
We should put in a can't refuse bid for Coutinho. Pool might sell him if it distracts from Suarez who we aren't getting anyway.
That's another one who bites the dustQuote:
Arsenal could be disappointed in their chase for midfielder Bernard, 20, after the player's father confirmed that Brazilian team-mate, 27-year-old striker Hulk, has persuaded the youngster Porto would be a better club at which to develop.

Well Higuains father said he was comming to us and ended up in Napoli, so maybe its a good thing when his father is saying he is going to another club >_<
You don't think we're just wasting our time on a player we're never realistically going to sign then? I don't think Suarez is realistic, it'll drag on with little happening until the deal eventually falls on it's head, we'll have then wasted all summer there'll be even less quality players around and we'll end up at best buying a couple of average players.
It's funny how we left everything so late and how every deal hits a snag, are we just puposefully releasing rumours about interest in certain players and putting in bids we know aren't going to be good enough to buy the players in question....sounds like it to me. I just find it suspicious that a club that doesn't like to spend money is supposedly bidding for players and those deals drag on and fall on their faces everytime.
I don't think we should spend 40 million on one player as we need 3-4 quality players, however if we were going to shouldn't we get a move on as it does seem to me like nothing is happening with this deal .
Yeah not really that hard is it, you bid for a player, if it's rejected you bid again if you're still interested, then if accepted you talk to the player and agree terms. With a player like him I wouldn't have thought it's that hard, so basically we're not interested and he's not coming.
