The thing with Walcott is, even in games where he looks terrible and technically the worst player on the pitch, he can score a goal out of the blue, like he did with the 2 against Tottenham. However, their defence was extremely open that day, and there was a lot of space in the second half after we went ahead 3-2. When teams play deep and keep their shape, he finds it very difficult to contribute anything positive. He can't make runs in behind a packed defence, and he doesn't have the creativity to contribute to the buildup either. Hopefully we can draw Chelsea out today so that he can be more effective.
