Even if he wasn't at the level of Casillas or Buffon (which he wasn't, but they're two of the best keepers ever anyway so not exactly a fair yardstick) he was still a lot better than most. A lot better. And then seemingly when Valero, who had a big influence on Torres as well, left his form dropped off a cliff. The main thing he has left is his distribution which is still ridiculous but not exactly integral to a keeper, he can still pull off a good save or two but when he's in a one on one he's invisible. As I say I don't think it's terminal, but whoever said he needs some proper competition I totally agree. And Valero back.
