Fair points, my thing is £25m sounds a lot and the pressure from everywhere of being Wenger/Arsenals first mega-signing will be huge and this guy comes across as an airy-fairy developing player. At £19.75m he might be able to fly under the radar a little.Quote:

I also have doubts as to how much a club not having a manager affects the players decision or the club's transfer strategy. Clubs like City and Chelsea sign the players, the manager does not. Didn't Hazard join Chelsea when they were managerless when he had his pick of clubs? Not even the mighty SAF was attractive enough for him. Says it all.
I don't think the top players care about managers. They're used to a manager leaving after a season anyway. Top players go to the club paying the best wages which is also usually a club in the running to win things.
Chelsea probably only want Jovetic as a squad player, they have far bigger fish to fry eg Falcao.
Juve should piss off tbh, they already have Llorente coming.
Maybe they want revenge after we got one over them with Dennis Bendtner.

I haven't seen a great deal from Jovetic, but is he really 25mil? That's what RVP was worth....is he as good?
Look, transfer fees are not set in stone, I know, but I do know that every player has a sensible value, and I'm sorry, but if we believe their price (assuming this isn't all UTTER BOLLOCKS) is too high (25% mark-up!!!) then fucking right we should haggle.

Well he wont be as good as RVP but RVP is 29 and had one year left on his contract when we sold him. If RVP was 23 like Jovetic is and had 3 years left on his deal he'd have been worth £50m.Quote:
