The Mancs were allowed to pull out many moons ago to play in the World Club Cup. Although I don't think that resulted in another team getting a bye to the next round which is what would happen in this case.

If they can't or won't play then there's rules for that. They are out and the opponents gets a bye. Are people suggesting the rules should be changed? Why?
