You’re glossing over the points. As far as I’m aware, we offered him a new deal over the summer when he was in his last year and it was for 60k. If that’s true, that’s not even a wage increase because his last deal was 60k. That has nothing to do with other clubs or inflation.Quote:

We had a bif rejectecd for that Athletico Madird RB last summer (Juan Fran ??) so it seems we've been looking at alternatives already.

The 28-year-old has confirmed that Arsene Wenger was keen to bring him to the Premier League, as we reported in August.
But the right-back insists he is happy at his current club, despite seemingly having the opportunity to increase his wages.
And with four years left on his contract at the Vicente Calderon, the Spanish international doesn't appear likely to make a move to the Emirates or elsewhere soon.
"It is true that I had an offer from Arsenal that any player would have liked to have accepted," Juanfran said to www.marca.com.
"But I am very happy here.
"For me, as everyone knows, there is no better club than Atletico."
Juanfran has scored three goals in 94 appearances since joining from Osasuna in January 2011
