If the board sack Wenger, would you trust them to properly replace him?

while going from higuain to suarez might have been the wrong decision, i reckon it was a football decision. we know suarez would cost more, wenger would know and the board would know, so in my mind they made it more as a footballing decision then a buisness decision.
however, wenger will know we need a striker, he will also know we need to make a statement signing. well actually any signing almost right now. but the dithering? i dont think its just him, i think the board are dithering themselves too. i find it very convenient the days before the emirates is full again that stoires are being leaked taht gazidis wants to spend. gets blame off them when i think they are ditthering just like wenger

What a WUM.
we have underbid, and gazidis is as guilty as wenger in that department. they agree the bid and then gazidis makes it. (well he did with suarez according to the media) yet he claims he wants to spend big but wengers stopping him.
bullshit, he is as guilty of trying to get cheap options and save money. and whats stopping him when wenger leaves the room adding on more money to the bid? if he went behind wengers back and bought suarez for 50 million? would wenger refuse to play him? no of course not. its cowardly, pathetic and detestable the lengths gazidis is going to, to deflect blame off himself onto wenger
great point, but i guess that's also the problem. you point out that "wenger has won two doubles, another league title and another FA Cup", but maybe his past success is hindering us? it's biding him more time than it should do and tbh it isnt doing us any good. every year we are getting worse.
of course, a lot of this depends on whether we trust the board to bring in the right replacement but even so, at least there will be hope that things will change. also, you pointed out that wenger has been here longer than gazidis so perhaps the latter should bear the front of the protest, but our problems started long before gazidis came so maybe its wenger and not gazidis thats the problem? i mean you cant for one minute believe that ivan would give the speech he did at the beginning of the summer without honestly thinking we were going to alter our ways this year? he is well aware of the animosity towards him and the last thing he would want to do is add fire to the fuel by intentionally underspending.
so something has changed between the time of his speech and now, and without wanting to sound like a broken record, there's only one man the finger seems to point to (once again)..
I have too. I hate it. Hate it. Hate it.
But I just can't walk away.
I sti can't bring myself to despise wenger and commit to fully wanting him gone.
That's what these fuckers play on. Emotional ties, built on years of good times
and bad times and uniting together as fans to get behind the one thing we all have in common.
And that's why we're being ripped apart in-house.
How can I want Wenger out before all these "sorts"?
Fuck, it's all gone potty, but my affection for Arsenal and it's history will forever lean me to support The Arsenal, however much it's class has been stripped away.
That turmoil is why it hurts and frustrates so much.
I don't care if we spend 10mil or 50mil, as long as I believe we are trying to move forward, trying on the pitch and being togther as a board, support, and team.

£40mill is not a cheap option though, is it? There's more to it than that. The pair of them bid £40mill because:
a) They didn't do their homework on the contract or
2) They never wanted the bid to be accepted in the first place because it was designed for show
Option 1 means they are both completely incompetent, or at the very least Wenger trusts an incompetent,
Option B means they have done it again and suckered the fans - all that shit didn't hurt the new kit sales I'll bet.
it was a football decision ollie but it was another fuck up in a long list of fuck ups. you had a world class striker with a world class record who was willing to join us. so what his price went up to £30m after we agreed terms? if you want top players you need to pay top money. and id argue £30m for him isnt even extortionate, its market rate.
its not like we've splashed out over the past few years to be saying 'well higuain costs too much as we spent a lot last summer, so we cant afford him'. its been the complete opposite.
the footballing decisions at this club have been borderline mad. from tactics, to transfers, to wages. madness.
Awful phone spelling, btw. Also little bit wine and beer.
not aruging with that, i think not getting higuain is shocking. no baggage, world class etc etc.
we've heard gazidis say he wants big name players, world class players and we can afford them. he hsould know his football, he should know that suarez, higuain and rooney were the only realistic world class players we could sign this summer. its now only suarez. he should be telling wenger that we need him, no dithering I'm going to bid and get him whatever he takes. but because he doesnt do this, he goes along with wenger, by choice imo, hes as guitly as not doing as wenger is yet tries to make it out like he is trying and wenger isn't
Add to it all we have two fucking billionaires who haven't put a penny into the club. Every inch has been ground out through gate receipts, TV revenue, merchandise and the sale of players the fans also paid for with more receipts, TV revenues, merchandise. These fuckers haven't given a thing back. Not one tiny concession.
id actually argue higuain was the only realistic target we could get this summer. but the whole point is, in footballing terms, it was a massive cock up. we could have wrapped up higuain - a world class player - and embedded him into the team with a month to spare before the new season, which would have given us an opportunity to focus on other areas that needed strengthening. now its the same story as before, pissing around with a player (suarez) until the last day of the window where we could already be 5 points behind the leaders and out of the champions league. its going to have another catastrophic effect on our season and completely unsettle the side for the first month.
can you imagine what it will be like if we draw against villa in the opening game and then lose to spurs at home a few weeks later? they honestly have no-one else but themselves to blame.
The thing is, I don't want nor do I think we need one tiny concession from them. All I want is for our Club to want to win and to use the resources it generates through us to work towards winning.
I don't need our club to win, all I want is for our Club to do what it can. The pusuit of winning is more important than the end result - I need something to get behind other than the balance sheet.

Old news, but everytime I read it I become more angry. Wenger has done a lot for us, but Jesus Christ, is he smoking skunk?
blid tonight reporting bayern will allow Gustavo to leave and taht he has an offer from us and chelsea.
id take him in a heartbeat myself. http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/lu...5656.bild.html theres the link but its in german
This whole idea of the shareholders getting the fans to buy them a shiny new stadium in return for a decade of shit football isn't working out for me any more. I'd like to win. I think we've been 2-3 players away from a serious challenge for years. I think you have to want to win if you claim to be a top club. Top club to me means winning. To them it means having money. Well they have a whole pile of money now and of course by concession I mean give us back some of our money. Obviously I didn't mean those ****s contribute in any way. They'd be reduced to your common billionaire if they did that, but we all know they are different and special.
