"Yes, City scored two and Leicester had a penalty ruled out but for me Spurs were the best today, Kane could have had a hatrick"
Jermaine Jenas.
Sky still haven't mentioned Fernandinho's latest assault post-match.
As I said, the officials decide the final placings. The gypos should have been down to 10 (probably down to 3 or 4 if this was one of their typical outings) but the refs and linos have a list of players they persecute and another list for free passes. Not sure how many points this swings per season but it'd be a good few. Same with constant diving. Some teams get the FKs, others don't. Moses yesterday, all he has to do is flop on the ground and the whistle goes. Alexis, meanwhile, will be kicked 20 times in a game and it'll be play on. Dodgy offsides. Penalties. Early yellows for a first foul as opposed to 90th minute yellows for the 936th foul. It all adds up. Now that not many of the players can play that well and the matches are closer, the refs have an even bigger influence. We'd see a strange league table if technology was deployed. Which is one of the key reasons it's not being used I guess. Whether the refs are incompetent, fearful or outright corrupt, they are all cheats. They see shit happening, they know the rules, and they ignore the rules. That's cheating, whatever the motive.
