Is Wenget still fukin that dj on the side? Always knew he could do better :tiphat:
True, far out world! Gradually on our way there, just decided to do it differently. It's the money we'll never know about or see but as you say, I'm not complaining either as long as some of the wonga nuggets filter through to improve the team .....and the real consolation is we didn't launder, steal, beg, torture, oppress, or kill to get the club where it is now. That's the real genius of it, Arsenal are the best if not the only real football investment vehicle right now!
Jack's returned to training three days early today.
I'm hoping it was a sincere move on his part recognising he has a lot of work to do and not a PR stunt designed by one of his myriad of advisers and representatives. :coffee:

Doubt he gives a flying fuck what some judgemental internet anoraks say about him having a laugh on his holidays. He might even join in with a fag with fellow smokers Ozil, Kos and Giroud after training.
If Wenger is asked he'll obviously condemn it, but medically speaking it doesn't make any difference to fitness levels over a 15 year career that footballers have. Jack seems a bit chavy but it doesn't affect me. If Wenger picks him - and regardless of who we've signed, he will - he's happy with him and I look forward to seeing him play.
The good news is that Theo might be closer to playing than initially thought. It'd be great if he's ready for the start of the season along with Sanchez. Gives us a chance to attack with pace from the go.
He has to condemn it in public but I don’t think Wenger wants controversy around the club and he’s warned Jack once about protecting his rep. You can see it in his first statement. Health implications aside, Jack shouldn’t have been caught smoking again, even if he’s a big time smoker.
Whoever is in charge of Arsenal's Facebook page is a WUM! posting a picture of Diaby, writing "its great to see Abou back....
The comments are hillarious though.

We're going to court to challenge the limit on three concerts a year that can be hosted at the Emirates.
Good on the club I say. We need all the revenue we can generate to compete with the likes of the Petro clubs and Utd with their ridiculous commercial deals (£75 million a year from Addidas) and this is an easy way to go about doing this. Loan out one of our key assets (the stadium) when it's not in use.
And it's good to see that the executives have finally recongnised this:
Islington council need to FOAD about this. Would bring more money, business and jobs to the local area to get tens of thousands of people flocking to the area.Quote:
During a public inquiry carried out by the inspector, Ken Friar, Arsenal's chief executive director, said the club needed money from the concerts to compete with its football rivals, citing the example of Manchester United's profits of £100 million compared to Arsenal's £20 million.
As it's a council we're talking about, this should just be a case of ensuring the correct amount is in the brown envelope. It's quite expensive to buy these sponging wank stains at the moment because they're looking to cover off the huge pensions frauds they got caught out on.
We need all the revenue we can generate to compete with the likes of the Petro clubs and Utd..
We can compete with them now but choose not to.Spending 35m in each of the last 2 years when we have 100m in the bank is not chelsea's city's or utd's fault. That lies with our manager .And dont come back with we dont need any more players because we all know we need a striker ,a defensive midfielder and strength in depth when the injuries hit in jan/feb.
Exactly what I think as well. Slimy cunts at Islington council want there cut to pay for the bonuses of senior council leaders.
Noise level? Give me a break. The concerts are on a Saturday evening and usually end by 10 pm latest. No actual reason why our request should be denied and if anything if Islington council actually had the interests of the local community they would be pleading for more gigs to be hosted and more money to be brought into the area. Instead they're more concerned about their own greedy little pay packets.
No.
We can compete a lot better now thanks to the Puma and Emirates money and that's been reflected in the Ozil and Sanchez purchases but we still have a way to go to come close to the revenue levels that Madrid/Barca/United and Bayern achieve. And each of those clubs are continuing to increase theirs with massive bumper commercial deals (Adidas £75 million) that we can only look on enviously at right now.
Besides the "100 million in the bank" that's always trotted out has to include wages. World class players demand world class wages ..... you need to budget in total £70 million of Ozil if you include his 5 year contract. And given the fact that we don't have a sugar daddy to bail us out, it would be the height of stupidity to spend all our cash reserves in one go ......... we need to keep money behind in the case something goes wrong. We couldn't soak up a loss on the scale of Torres or Schvenckeo the same way the Chavs were able to through Roman pumping in more equity.
If we want to to continue to stay at the top of the chain and compete for the calibre of players like Ozil and Sanchez throughout the team it's imperative that we boost our revenues through any means possible and renting out the Emirates is a no brainer. It also may hopefully mean that club is less reliant on matchday income so season ticket prices can be frozen for a few years.
tl;dr version - They money is there but unlike certain other clubs, we have to spend it incredible wisely.
Eisfield sold to Fulham, didn't see that on coming tbh
The premise of a big stadium generating money for the surrounding area is a criteria in which it is allowed and supported to be built in the first place so it is wholly reasonable and prudent that the club has taken this stance.
@ Gallactico...
Not that I disagree with you assertion that a given budget includes wages.....However, I can't help but feel that if a player is sold.... let's say for 10 million?
The budget is let's say 70 million? Most people add the 10 million to the budget from the player sale and then argue it is now, 80 million. They do not add 10 million to the budget and the wages saved over the remaining duration of his contract which might make the budget 90 million rather than 80.
It is not a major issue, but I do think that if any stated budget includes wages, then it should be updated accordingly when we bring in a fee from a transfer AND the wages saved. I know the wages saved perhaps becomes an intangible as it is money saved rather than physically made, but in the act of balancing I do find it a little peculiar.
All these figures are generated by the media anyway, so they have just been plucked out of Martin Samuel's arse. Like anything plucked from Martin Samuel's arse, greet with disbelief and avoid like the plague.
Anybody else getting fed up with BT Sport's adverts all featuring Arsenal's humiliations last season?
No I was enjoying them actually.
