I really think Begovic is the keeper we need to go after. Would really challenge for the number 1 and Fabianski looks like he'd quite easily be swayed to sit it out on the bench behind Chesney.
Van Der Wiel didn't have the best season - but I still rate him and reckon we could get him relatively cheaply - would be excellent cover for Sagna and we can let Eboue go. Left back am less convinced. Don;t think Everton would really let Baines go.
Cahill and Samba are very realistic targets and hope we get both. If we start the season with a proper defensive line-up I would be more than happy. Wenger needs to be ruthless - he's hanging by a thread.
Begovic? The Stoke reserve?

About Barton:
About Bowyer:Quote:
On 20 May 2008 he was sentenced to six months imprisonment for common assault and affray during an incident outside a McDonald's restaurant in Liverpool City Centre.
I blame McDonalds tbhQuote:
In 1996, he was signed by Leeds United manager Howard Wilkinson for £2.8 million, which was a record for a British teenager.[9] Later the same year, Bowyer was convicted of affray and fined £4,500 following an incident in a McDonald's restaurant in London in which CCTV footage showed chairs being thrown and a staff member of Asian origin was racially abused
Also Bowyer looks like a little rat, just thought I'd add that in.
Bit of a difference between the 2 though seeing as 1 is a convicted criminal with countless other incidents involving violence to his name. Did you know he once stubbed a cigar out in the eye of a youth teamer at Man City?
I acknowledge that Barton is not that bad a player but I would find it difficult to support him if he turned out for us.
