Well deserved for Messi. He has been the standout player of the last 2 decades. Nailed on to win another Ballon D`or now
I don’t think this was a great World Cup overall, in many respects it promises far more than it delivered
However the final delivered and then some, I can’t remember a better final in my lifetime. Similar in some respects to the 1986 final but for sheer drama this was better than that, although Mexico 86 was a far better tournament.
