Can't find fault with what Smudger says. And what all the references to SAF's longevity always fail to mention is that he is no more a football coach than Wumger - yet unlike Wumger he has always relied on the services of excellent coaches - to whom he has delegated proper authority. How many of SAF's coaches (or players for that matter) have gone on to be successful managers in their own right? SAF is a better manager than Wenger - probably because he realises he can't do it all himself. Wenger has tarnished his legacy by refusing to countenance that he is unable to do everything himself - and failing to realise his own limitations. I admire SAF for being big enough to do this.
