A couple of weeks ago you were saying that the McManaman challenge was getting a lot more coverage than say the Eduardo one. :lol:

We aren't talking about dangerous play here, we're talking about violent conduct. And unquestionably it is. It's such a visceral act and there's no way something like that can be done accidentally or the old favourite 'without intent'. That's a big part of why bad challenges are routinely forgotten about say a couple of days after it and it's not like I agree with it because I have spent many a time lamenting how those incidents are represented but that'll be the reason for why it is getting 'more coverage'.

The skin wasn't designed to cope with getting a good chomp, I wouldn't say it's exactly dangerous but of course with something like that there is always the risk of infection. To Suarez, not just Ivanovic.

The only reason that Suarez's pathetic behaviour is getting max coverage is because its so unusual. I'm not saying he shouldn't be punished, I asking for a bit of reason. A leg breaking tackle is more serious, IMO than a bite. Maybe a bite is more despicable than a player who cares nothing for an ex-player's safety, but IMO both should be punished equally.

Yup.

Of course it's more serious but the leg being broken is also rare and thus citing it as a counterpoint is almost getting to a strawman. I agree that those challenges should have a stricter punishment though but usually those kind of challenges are given red cards and thus already carry a punishment. This wasn't seen.

Precisely, if Wenger had shown any sort of willingness to improve the team with quality we'd have had a good chance of holding onto him. But no Wenger had to be Wenger and stick to his totally flawed principles, that have failed time and time again thus giving us no chance.
