And Redknapp scoffed at suggestions third place is beyond his side, saying: ‘No, it’s not out of reach, of course not.
'I still think we’ll finish above Arsenal – bring it on, Arsene!’

Well Arsene brought it

I'd take fucking Phil Brown as manager right now, that's how disappointed I fucking feel.

Harry Redknapp has hit back at critics who say his Tottenham side have blown their chance of having a successful season.
A run of just one win in eight Premier League games has seen them replaced in third by North London rivals Arsenal and in danger of being dumped out of the Champions League places altogether by a rampant Newcastle side who have won their last five.
But Redknapp called for cool heads amongst the fans as they are just one game away from an FA Cup final and are in the frame for continental football next season - a position he feels many would also have taken at the start of the season.
"People forget where Tottenham should be at times," Redknapp said. "They have won two Carling Cups since 1991, the average finishing position until four or five years ago was probably about 10th - our form is fantastic.
"We had a bad performance against Norwich, but other than that we played very well and just didn't get the results.
"We were in a fantastic position and ended up losing points and Arsenal have been on a great run and picked up win after win and that's what has changed.
"If we'd come from nowhere and suddenly moved into fourth, we'd all be going, 'great'. But I'd have taken this position at the start of the year for sure."
:arry:
The cycle is complete.
:haha:
Yeah well done 'Arry. Your team is on a worse run of form this half of the season then us in our first half of the season!
Since Capello resigned they've only got picked up 9 points from 27.
Such brilliant timing from Fabio. Hopefully Woy gets the job anyway.
Of course their "world class, £40m players" in Modric, Bale and VdV not doing very much at all is also a factor.
It would be great if someone presented him some sort of timeline transcript of his press conferences from the season. Or, well, those headlines Letters posted above. Unfortunately the press boys are too busy singing him Happy Birthday (and yes, unfortunately this is true). He's such a fraud. I had a brief look at glory-glory just now. Can't blame a lot of them for hating him.

He seems to have no respect at all for the Spurs fans. Strange considering our club is the only one of stature to have ever employed him.
He needs to realise that we are ambitious and won't settle for finishing a bit higher than we did when we were shit and Alan Sugar grumbled about giving the manager a couple of quid to go and get a new striker.
Not doing himself any favours at all.

Basically we shouldn't be concerned with the terrible form because we're punching well above our weight. Really is an absurd thing to come out with. Surprised the droopy faced qunt didn't come out with the 2 from 8 line aswell.

Well he is trying to do himself favours. But he's not playing to the Tottenham fans, he's playing to the media and his potential new employers. As usual he is trying to protect his reputation and insulate himself from everything going tits up here. This is the start of his campaign to convince them that he's done some type of miracle job with a 'mid table side'.
Hard to disagree.
It's things like this that make me doubt whether he would actually take the England job. Sure he could say something like "England have barely done anything of note since 1996" and that would be true but if he was to do that after it went tits up, the media would not accept it as a valid reasoning and tear in to him. Then again, with the money he'd get from it, why would he care?
Redknapp :pal:
Such a fraud. least spud fans can finally see this.
What he says is like AW's 4th place trophy thing lol. Spurs should be aiming higher then they are not where he says.
