How has the ref been punished?
Apparently he has a new job lined up teaching new ref the Manc way
Some scapegoat will be picked from the chav executive, paid off and told to carry the can. That will be the end of it. But the chavs should already have been punished for the false Mata claims. Making those public and then failing to provide any evidence should have attracted significant penalties but it appears it's already forgotten. Significant for a club that buys everything and earns nothing should be a multi billion pound fine to ensure they are put out of business or being kicked out of football. That's what would have happended to the person they falsely accused of racism so they should suffer the same fate now it is confirmed they are liars.
there was an interesting piece in the independent (written by mihir bose so it does lose some credibility) talking about the Equality Act which dictates any complaints of racism made by an employee to their employer has to be reported to a third party, namely Clattenburg. if it had come out after that it was dealt with internally, it would look pretty dodgy given their recent history. they screwed up releasing a statement but i guess with the recent dramas they can't afford to be seen as anything but bullish and proactive. i think ramires truly believes he heard the word but with luiz translating a geordie accent to him, it is one hell of a mess.
Mission accomplished. Scum club.Quote:
SunSport can reveal some Blues stars are sceptical about the shock allegations and pressure is mounting on the club to physically prove the remarks were made.
Significantly, the club have not yet officially complained to the police about the alleged incident — even though the Society of Black Lawyers has...
Even if Clattenburg, 37, is proved innocent, it may be many years before he is allowed to officiate at a Chelsea game again.
He is being ‘rested’ again this weekend while the FA investigates and a refs’ insider told SunSport: “There are concerns about the implications of him refereeing a Chelsea match.

Chelsea are going cold on Atletico Madrid hitman Radamel Falcao - because Roman Abramovich is no longer convinced the Colombian is worth his asking price.
Falcao has been the revelation of Atletico's impressive start to the season, including the outstanding hat-trick that sank Roberto Di Matteo's Blues in the UEFA SuperCup Final in Monaco in August.
But with Abramovich retaining faith in Fernando Torres despite his lack of goals, the Chelsea owner is now signalling he is less than keen on meeting Atletico's £46million price for the South American.
While a January swoop is not out of the question - there are still two months to go before the window opens and Chelsea have swapped targets at short notice before - the Blues are now looking at cheaper alternatives to add to their fire-power.
Marseilles' France striker Loic Remy, who was on the Chelsea radar at the close of the summer window, is now understood to be back on the agenda, with the £15m tag not seen as too onerous. And the other potential target is Falcao's fellow Colombian, Porto's Jackson Martinez, who has scored nine in as many league appearances - and 14 in all competitions - for the Portuguese side since his £8m arrival from Jaguares, beating the club records set by Falcao and Brazilian Hulk.
Porto President Pinta Da Costa, who forced Chelsea to pay £13m to land Andre Villas-Boas in 2011 and played hardball with Spurs over Joao Moutinho this summer, is likely to ask for nearer £20m for the 26-year-old but Chelsea are looking to give Torres back-up until the end of the season.

Chelsea announce profit of £1.4m for year ending June 30, 2012 - the first time club has made profit since Abramovich's arrival
Well they have started making profit -- which means they are getting to where they want to be after all that money pumped into the club. That's good. It has always been the way of most investments when starting afresh.
I for one am happy that there is more than arsenal and utd challenging for things these days. Thanks to yhe trickle down of 'petrodolars' fulham, everton, newcastle, etc can buy decent players that cost a good sum.
The fact that these days i am not really shocked when i hear fulham/everton/norwich/swansea etc have beaten utd is testament to how better the game is these days imho
The millions murdered, robbed and plunged into poverty to generate those petrodollars probably don't approve of their lives being trashed so a grubby Russian gangster can play at being respectable. But yes, the spiralling wages, ludicrous transfer fees, mercenary attitudes, media hype and corresponding decline in genuine talent has certainly transformed the game.
I'd second that.
Couldn't stop laughing after the first paragraph.
The gw royalty gang has assembled have they?
And they they are going preach from their moral high ground.
Then again this convo has been had before. But carry on
Edit: there used to be fits of laughter on this board from the very same folks when chelsea announced some years back that the were looking to break even.
Some or most were looking forward to clubs like chelsea imploding -- but as it turns out, they are here to stay.
Now that clubs like chelsea - whom we all want to play within socalled financial rules - are showing signs ot doing just that, i see the halfbaked moral sentiments still persist and wont go away.
I can understand if this discourse was with a non-football fan; then i could comprehend their moral outrage.
Hypocrites, much?
In the scope of football, no it isn't.
Good answer.
These results only include Hazard and not the rest of the summer spending!
they've spent a billion pounds in ten years and have only just now posted a profit of 1.4 million?
Worth a cheeky bid?Quote:
ASHLEY COLE will be off to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season — says his mum!
Cole has failed to agree fresh Chelsea terms after being offered only a one-year deal and PSG are set to win the race to sign him.
Manchester United have also been interested in the England defender, who will be available on a FREE in the summer.
But the 31-year-old’s mum, Sue Cole, has told Facebook pals: “Well looks like his going somwhere better hear than the talk of man u. Not too far on the Euro star x”
She also posted a link to a report that PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti had already made contact.
Cole won the Double with the Italian at Chelsea in 2010 and has a strong relationship with his former coach, who has a huge budget at his new club.
PSG, bankrolled by Qatari owners, are in a position to offer Cole a lucrative deal to leave the Premier League and end his career in France.
