Oh how I loathe everything about football now :banghead:

Liverpool :haha:
Gerrard and Rooney. Rooney and Gerrard. If it's not about them then it's not worth talking about.
I'll applaud Gerrard for his loyalty (loyalty as in he took 5 mill at Liverpool instead of 7 mill at Madrid - I could be loyal under those conditions too) and as such can understand why Liverpool fans put him on a bit of a pedestal. But on the scale of world class players his sole contribution is one night against Milan, admittedly a spectacular night. Other than that, he WAS a decent (nothing more) midfield player in the English PL. He hasn't been a good player for several years now and did nothing at an International level.
Sounds a bit like Rooney really. It's a bit sad when England's modern heroes are Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard. Ain't Charlton. Moore and Greaves, are they?
The media like to equate scoring goals with good overall performances
The key example of this is Lampard who as central midfields go is lacking massively, even at his peak no pace, poor touch, limited passing range but because he will get you goals this is all put to one side.
Gerrard may have scored a cracking free kick last night but his overall contribution was fittingly proportional to that of someone who hasn't got it at the top level anymore.
Surely Roma won't pub it up and let Citeh through tonight?
Come on Gervais.
Souness, Carragher and Neville are in the studio.
Come on Roma.
Carragher.
Well why is Markovic throwing his arm out?
What is Neville on about? Liverpool sold a player for £75 million, it's going to take a lot for Liverpool to spend £100 million net in one summer.
Idiot.
Ramsey.
Souness. :haha:
What a surprise he doesn't think Ramsey's goal was that great.
Totti learning English.
Roma have been fifth and sixth in Serie A over the last couple of seasons says Carragher.
