What a goal.
Dortmund 2-0 Barcelona, Guirassy!
Fantastic save from Donnarumma off Rashford.
Villa 3-2 PSG, Konsa!! OMG!!!
Dortmund 2-1 Barcelona, Bensebaini - own goal
PSG. :haha:
Could be their biggest bottle job yet if they let this slip.
What a chance for Asensio.
How hasn't Konsa connected?!
PSG look fried. Just shows how switched on you have to be over 2 legs even if you’ve got a healthy lead.
Martinez saves from Dembele.
Mannn I really don't want to face Emery.
Dortmund 3-1 Barcelona, Guirassy hat-trick.
3-2 FT, PSG through!
We are still the only team to have won at Villa Park this season
Yep, Villa would have been a terrible opponent for us.
Good to see that PSG still have some vulnerability as well.
But anyway, let’s get it done tomorrow night.
I have to say, based on what was on show last night….PSG basically had Donnarumma to thank that they went through at all
They do seem pretty relentless in Paris but I think they are beatable
Inter Milan: Sommer, Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni, Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco, Thuram, Martinez.
Subs: Di Gennaro, J Martinez, De Vrij, Arnautovic, Frattesi, Asllani, Carlos Augusto, Bisseck, Berenbruch, Cocchi, Zalewski, Taremi.
Bayern Munich: Urbig, Laimer, Dier, Kim, Stanisic, Kimmich, Goretzka, Olise, Muller, Sane, Kane.
Subs: Peretz, Klanac, Gnabry, Coman, Paulinha, Guerreiro, Boey, Vidovic, Kusi-Asare, Pavlovic, Karl.
Forza Inter tbh.
Inter 0-1 Bayern Munich, Kane.
:faint:
1-1 now, Martinez.
Inter 2-1 Bayern, Pavard.
2-2 now, Dier.
I think the 1/4 finals have probably produced the most entertaining games and football in the competition so far this season
30 goals over eight games
I think it’s the most even playing field the CL has had in a while. No obvious favourite, just 4 teams who could all be considered winners based on what they’re good at.
I actually think Inter would be our kryptonite.
I am probably a bit biased, seeing as we are doing so well, but I think the new CL format has been a breath of fresh air and largely successful, something I said when the competition started.
I mean look at it, if you take us out of the equation (arguable), the other 3 are undisputably the best teams in Europe at the moment with domestic League positions proving it (PSG already won theirs)
Removing PSG, the other top 3 finished top 4 in the league stage in the CL.
The last 16 had the 3 best teams in Spain, 2 best in Germany, 2 best in England, the best team in Italy, the best team in France and the current joint league toppers in Portugal....that's more than half of the spots filled by teams that if you had asked a computer to generate based on stats, it would have concurred.
Yes there have been more games and yes we should be thinking about player's welfare, but most big teams have big squads and managers who should be smart enough to get the best out of them with rotation.
This format truly feels like merit and not the luck of the draw we are use too, and obviously love the way it has benefited us and shown our strength.
Again I reiterate, if Liverpool had not been unlucky to face a PSG team that found their form in Europe late, the semifinals would have consisted of the top 4 in league stage, an extremely fair reflection.
But I guess if their fans had to choose, they'd choose a league title that puts them at par with Man U, and ends the question of the most successful side on these shores.
Inter have been on an appalling run since getting past Bayern in the 1/4 finals. Losing three games in a row without scoring once
Losing 1-0 at Bologna before losing 3-0 to AC Milan in the Copa Italia and then 1-0 at home to Roma
This isn’t a case of them sacrificing one competition for another, they were leading in Serie A and these two defeats have put Napoli top of the table.
Good, don’t like Inter…hoping Barcelona beat them in the semis
Lost momentum one could say.
2-0 Inter
Thuram after 30 seconds and Dumfries with an acrobatic finish from a corner.
2-1. Yamal decides to do it himself. Jesus christ. Wow.
2-2 now. Good game this.
Just caught the last 15 mins.... if we get to the final, I am beginning to waiver that we could prevail against any of these sides.
Both look far better than PSG.
This is a great game.
2-3
3-3
Effing hell...these guys are all playing like they're on something.
3-3 absolute thundercunt from Raphinha. Maybe an OG from Sommer. Silly game.
Could have been 3-4, old man Mkhi, but i am pretty sure they'll chalk it off for offside.
3-3
What a great game, and TBH these 2 teams showed another level, compared to us and PSG.
Inter really raised their game but the superstars that are Raphina and Yamal ensured that Barca stayed in this tie (in fact they probably deserved to win though they never took the lead).
I still think Barca will get through in Milan and I've got to hope so as I can't see us beating this Inter side with the way they are organised.
Though if Raphina and Yamal play like this against us, we'd have little hope in hell of getting past them too.
What difference does it make to us who gets through to play PSG?
Inter v Barca tonight.
Didn't watch the first leg and probably I won't be watching this either.
If we did somehow fluke our way to the final then I'll probably watch them back.
