Thing is these pitches are not exactly dustbowls. Collapsing like that is lame. Pakistan probably have the best spin attack around, but going by that, most Asian teams would do for England at home. Still a lot to prove.
Rors.
Posting in the wrong thread is in the McNamara blood.
:haha: I learnt from the best alright
So apologies if I worried anyone there with the idea of ITV having test match highlights...
It won't be far away now.
BBC Test Match Special's Geoff Boycott
"England didn't seem to have a clue where they were going to get a run. There was more chance of them getting an edge, or getting byes or leg byes. They may be the number one side in the world, but they haven't won on the subcontinent and on this evidence, they're not going to."
:haha: Nice try..
Being pedantic doesn't make you clever. It actually tends to be the opposite, from what I've found.
It's the subcontinent - Pakistan are more suited to the conditions. They don't play in Pakistan for security reasons but this is their home series. And, more to the point, it's definitely an away series for England.
Is Abu Dhabi in the sub continent?
Anyway more importantly, are England the worst number one ranked Test team ever?
At least India were number one for a couple of years before turning shit. England? A matter of months
