I really hope he is allowed to play international cricket eventually. As the judge said, Amir is "unsophisticated, uneducated and impressionable". This country is relatively safe from things like that but in Pakistan there is a silly amount of power held by gangs and criminal organisations. It's very easy to be blackmailed into doing this. It's also easier to get your head turned when you are as young as Amir is and coming from a very poor family background. I'm not saying he's blameless, or that there shouldn't be a punishment. He has already had a big punishment, his credibility has been ruined and he won't play cricket for a while. But maybe, say, after a year or so - let him back in IMO. Michael Holding's views are surprisingly fair on this issue. Damn talented bowler.
