I liked Martin Samuels' suggestion on how to resolve tedious transfer sagas. Get all parties in to a locked room, a room with a tiger in a cage that hasn't eaten for two days and give them 10 minutes to sort it out.
Chakma officially gone.

Bai
We actually got a fee for him? :haha:
You think it was good to have Don Vito as Chesney's teacher? Don Vito was/is fucking shit!
We need a number 1 keeper. Chesney is still young so he can recover. We're not obliged to play him just so he can learn his trade, we need a ready made number 1 keeper. We're a top four club and it's ridiculous to have Chesney as our number 1 keeper.
If we get Kogdong , surely that means the Gustavo deal is off? Both CDMs
Napoli beat us again ffs
Why the he'll haven't we got Cesar yet ?
He wanted to stay in London aswell.

Looks like Liverpool will screw us overQuote:
Luiz Gustavo has welcomed a potential move to Arsenal, with the club hopeful of completing a £14m deal for the 26-year-old Bayern Munich defensive midfielder this week.

Liverpool's loan move for Bayern Munich left-back Diego Contento, 23, will depend on whether Arsenal are able to complete a deal for Bayern midfielder Luiz Gustavo, 26, after the German champions confirmed they would only let one of the two players leave this summer.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has told L'Equipe that Yoann Gourcuff would be prepared to accept a pay cut in order to seal a switch to Arsenal.
The France international has long been linked with a switch to Emirates Stadium, and talk of transfer this summer has resurfaced.
Lyon would be prepared to part with Gourcuff's salary if a suitable offer is tabled, and the 27-year-old would prefer a deal to be done to take him to the Premier League.
Aulas insists no loan agreement will be sanctioned with another French club - amid talk of interest from Lorient - meaning the ball is now back in Arsenal's court as the countdown to deadline day continues.
He told L'Equipe on Gourcuff, who netted once and provided two assists as Lyon started the new season with a 4-0 mauling of Nice on Saturday: "Can you see us paying part of his salary for him to play against us with another French club? We've never considered that and it would be even more stupid now than it was a fortnight ago.
"All that I know, if I understood correctly, is that he was ready to lower his salary to go to Arsenal, but that's not the same thing.
"I spoke to his lawyer two weeks ago and he asked for the power of attorney to negotiate a transfer. I said no, but I would be keen to offer a non-exclusive power of attorney to see what happens."
Another of those at Lyon whose future remains up in the air is Bafetimbi Gomis, but, after a proposed move to Newcastle United broke down, Aulas claims the striker could now be persuaded to pen a contract extension at Stade Gerland.
He added: "His circumstances have changed. Newcastle ended talks and we don't have any other offers.
"The most logical solution would be for everyone to get back down to business and for him to prolong for another year. But there are other factors to consider, most notably what Remi Garde wants to do."
He's on his way!
I hope so, quality player, though it just say he'd be willing to, no mention of us making a bid or anything.
Yeah, it could just mean from a previous window too.
How well has he done at Lyon? Not really heard much about him since his Bordeaux days.

Gooners have no excuse to be so negative. Look at how bad something like HIV is
he only played 19 times last season (wikipedia) now i dont know much about the french league but that suggests to me, he is hugely injury prone. scored 3 goals and 7 assists.
season before, he played 23 games 2 goals 2 assists.
season before that, 36 games, 4 goals, 5 assists.
so hes getting more injures each season, his goals and assists arent great. no thanks, better players out there
We don't really need Gourcuff, we're pretty stacked in that position.
Better than nothing, though.
Signings
I remember them.
You're right.
I don't :(
I remember Bergkamp.
Wenger
I remember the summer of 1992.
Signed John Jensen and sold David Rocastle.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Who could forget Hartson and Kiwomya in January 1995
The Gourcoff stuff is late this year, usually it happens soon after the window opens. Mind you, we were a bit light in the treatment room last season, this guy could form a good partnership with Sanogo and get us back up to speed on the injury front.
Brigadier Scotty Parker looks like he'll be joining QPR.
