Sturridge not even on the bench for Chelsea tonight apparently
Never said anyone makes him do it. You think he would have decided he would sign no one and Gazidas and anyone would have opposed this. their all involved in this. He is the one who comes out and spouts all the crap though as he is the manager and the only one who will be intervied by the press etc.
- Our sources in Italy say there will be some big news coming from Napoli in the next few minutes. They are expected to announce a contract extension with Edinson Cavani.

Ok thought you were implying that it was the board's fault and not his, when in fact it's both of their faults. I'm sure he wanted a stronger squad than the one he currently has but the problem is he created the issue by signing up rubbish like Niklas Bendtner to a five year contract where he earns 52k a week and it's the boards fault for giving him a free hand to do this.

Here's Rafael van der Vaart speaking after sealing his move from Tottenham back to former club Hamburg, where he played between 2005 and 2008: "It feels a bit like I am coming back home," he said. "Everybody knows that I still have a strong bond with Hamburg and it is a compliment when a club wants you every year. This season was the right time.
"Of course I am no superman, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. But I do think that I can help the team. I have always followed Hamburg's progress and I think that the team is good. There are many talented players, but self-confidence is lacking.
This has to be the worst transfer deadline day we've had, all day and the only linked player is a broken Essien
Oh i agree Wenger is a big part to blame in this. His Loyalty in the club and Belief in his players are his biggest flaws and things that have let him down the most.
He needed to be more like Jose a bit more ruthless (and i'm not Jose is biggest fan). Also Wenger seems more interesting in creating then winning. imo Wenger leaving will acutally do him good, i think he needs a new challenge and if he went to a juve say might be the right team for him to get that winning hunger back.
Arsene and Arsenal used to be good but not anymore.
Tonight will be WUMgers finest hour.
Saints sign Gaston.
Even Soton can splash £12m on people.
We can't spend money which has been sitting there for the last 7 years, because we all know any money that is spent is just what comes in.
alking of Liverpool, and Clint Dempsey, here's BBC Sport's Ben Smith... and this might (will) interest Tottenham fans too.
Liverpool and Fulham are in talks to thrash out a last-ditch deal for Dempsey. The Anfield club made a straight cash offer for the 29-year-old United States forward on Friday afternoon.
It came in below Fulham's valuation and was rejected but talks continue to reach a compromise closer to the £7m valuation.
The situation could yet be complicated by late interest from Spurs. Having already beaten Liverpool to the signature of Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer, Spurs have now expressed an interest in Dempsey although no bid has been made.
Jim and Natalie rocking the yellow...
Fulham have rejected a bid from Liverpool for Dempsey. :haha:
Dempsey is getting trolled good and proper.
Didn't fulham report pool a week ago :haha: no way they want to sell to them.
Fulham aren't going to budge, so just pay them and get it over with.
Spurs have some weird looking goons as well. Antony Costa was there earlier. Fuck sake.
Anyone else see the guy in the Arsenal shirt at Spurs Lodge earlier?
Bryan Swanson is there now. All the A-listers.
Everton are after Jack Butland.
Momo Fayed will not be screwed over by Liverpool
They only want £7m from other teams .
Anyone hear Gary Cotterill outside c*** lodge earlier? He was talking solemnly about Crooknapp and how he always used to keep them updated, whereas AVB hasn't said a word to them.
:violin:
SSN has no reporter at the Emirates ?
The thing is, IF everyone is fit then our first team is quite decent tbh (Chesney, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Wilshere, Arteta, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud/Podolski, Oxlade). However, it's unlikely Wilshere will be in any shape to play regularly until after the new year at the very earliest, while Sagna will take time as well. Moreover, we're definitely going to have injuries throughout the season, and then that's when the problems start. Our squad is nowhere near strong enough at the moment, and still having to rely on Chamakh, Squillaci, Djourou, Ramsey if we suffer injuries/suspensions doesn't fill me with much confidence.
Piers trying to get IvanTheTerrible trending
@piersmorgan
Wake up #Arsenal fans - 18 players have been shipped out this summer, just 3 brought in. Don't stand for this crap! #IvanTheTerrible
You've got 6hrs 33ms to spend that £41 million RVP/Song war chest, Mr Gazidis. No excuses, we're all waiting. #Arsenal #IvanTheTerrible
If #Arsenal don't sign several world class players today then the fans will have been conned and cheated once again. #IvanTheTerrible
And here's an interesting transfer tale to kick us off this evening. BBC Sport's Graham Chase reports that Everton are in talks to sign Birmingham's England international goalkeeper Jack Butland.
The 19-year-old has been Tottenham's back-up option to Hugo Lloris and has also been a target for Southampton, Liverpool and Manchester City this summer but Everton are now closing on a deal.
If we don't sign anyone, I'd love to see how Arseblog manages to spin this as further vindication for the direction Kroenke and Gazidis are taking this club.
