 and there we were feeling sorry for ourselves, forgetting that there are starving children in Africa and. . .Liverpool fans!

I am definitely leaning towards the argument that we are better off leaving any small amount we have for a new manager to spend but it is more likely that the kitty we have at the moment (what was it 35 mil) would just be pocketed and some new fanciful figure gets plucked out of thin air next summer (I still maintain its wishful thinking we will have a new manager come next campaign)
Chavs going in for Felliani is a great move and we can only envy them, we were never going to stump that kind of money up in any case, it is debatable whether they need we him, we sure the hell do! But it just shows teams that are serious contenders on four fronts make sure they have depth, OK i know that they have bank balances larger than the economies of some third world countries but you just cant compete with the squad we have.
Gary Neville was going through the UTD squad the other day and listing the starters and back up, at least three of their strikers will get into double figures before the season is through. . , we dont even have three strikers (slight exaggeration before anyone jumps all over me!)
It is good we are rid of the likes of Park, Chamakh, DJ but were are their replacements? It takes time, January still has a couple of weels to run - yes yes and I expect someone or more to come in but do we really know what ee are doing?
Wenger knows has become a fadong echo
New manager aint coming.. we will have to deal with wenger for another season at least :(
"At the moment no, [no one is leaving]," Wenger told Arsenal Player.
"We have a good squad, a balanced one. At the moment nobody can go out, unless we buy somebody. At the moment our focus is to keep everybody. In every position we have two players. Three is too many and one is not enough."
Looks like we definitely aint making any signings then. WUMger, such a WUM.
well this is something i can't get my head around. most of us agree that wenger should be asked/forced to leave come the summer at the latest yet the screaming hoards with no sense of perspective shout and abuse the guy for being useless but then berate him further for not going out and spending in january.
surely the two things are contradictory in that giving money to a man that no one seems to have belief in does not make any sense. i'd rather we kept on to our funds until the summer IF - and it is a BIG if - Wenger was to leave the club, then give it all to a new man.
wenger could go out and buy players now but what impact do people really think they are going to have? forget fellaini, falco, llorente or anyone that costs anything near approaching £20m (without including the wage costs), then we are left with his usual 50/50 buys that may or may not do anything at all in the remaining months of this season.
I kind of agree with this. I would rather funds were saved for a new manager, if we're that lucky, in the summer. It makes more sense.
However, if we don't get 4th/CL football then it could put off a potential big name manager in coming here. Although I would like to think that it wouldn't really matter, but there is always a chance.
Thing is at this point I don't really care what happens this season, I just want wenger gone and I don't think I will care again until that happens :(
So if we have two players in every position and we have a good and balanced squad, why are we still shit? Where are the results to reflect that we have a squad capable of competing? Is he therefore admitting that the players are under-performing or that he's not good enough as a manager? Or is he admitting that the words they provide about their ambition being to win trophies is just a sham?
The squad we have is good enough to compete for 4th place. And even that is slowly eroding. He's a lying sack of shit. There is zero urgency to get back to a position where we at least stand a chance of winning something. There's just endless big talk with no follow through.
Tbh I would say that if we had someone like Fergie with this squad we would be doing better (he wouldn't have sold RVP for a start) as he is a better player motivator (of they're just scared shittless of him) coz I don't think Utd are really that good probably one of there worst teams in years.
