But if you said bring Benzema in or get Morata or Lukaku, where's the big advantage? We can see the big transfer fee and the big wages, that's easy to see. But the advantage on the pitch? It's wafer thin if there at all. I can sort of see Wenger's point. But that doesn't excuse the fact he should have acted in the past when there were better players up for grabs. Any excuses he makes now point back to his prior excuses. He's left us short over a long period of time.
