You have to host the World Cup, win an international tournament or reach the final and hope one team wins both the World Cup and European Championship (like Italy have).

I can see why it has to be held there of course, but if the Confederations Cup was played in a country not hosting the next big tournament, then I think it could gain more in importance.

Should have been held in Tahiti.
