Meh, we've been fielding youth/reserve teams in this round of the cup for years. The good record was bound to end at some point! Saints were always going to be a tricky test.

You always want to be in all comps, but we don't have enough defenders for that.

Shit to go out, but if we really wanted this one, we would have put out a full side.

Wenger guilty again. Podolski and Rosicky badly off form - left them on and took off Campbell who was bright. Even then he went like for like so the sub had no effect.

Jack really has to learn to keep things simple.

Bellerin was the bright spot.

That match was very winnable, especially after a bright start. We pressed well to begin with but soon dropped off and allowed them space in the middle. Then we reverted to tippy tappy and that was that.

It was the lack of cohesion in midfield and up front that cost us tbf. And stupidity from Rosicky.

They did. In fact it was the senior tippy tappy crew that killed us. Everything through the middle, always looking for that sliderule pass, always leaving the defence exposed when the 51st pass of an intended 93 pass move breaks down and presents the opposition with a clean break. Very irritating. Wenger must like it though because we keep on doing it, over and over and over.
