Disagree, you can always find quality at reasonable prices (maybe not as cheap as we go mind), Shaquiri would improve us for sure he's quality and has a end product.

Keane signs for Villa on-loan.
No mention of a dream though.
Villa .
Not good enough to be one of Keane's 749 footballing dreams.

I'm sure Rors is delighted.

Sky Sports understands Aston Villa and Arsenal are mulling over moves for Blackburn defender Scott Dann.
He was a target for both clubs in the summer prior to making the switch to Ewood Park from relegated Birmingham.
Alex McLeishhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif worked with the centre-back at St Andrew's and is still admirer so it is understood that he is now considering a January swoop.
Villa's defence is in need of strengthening with doubts over the futures of James Collinshttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif and Richard Dunne,http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif and it is believed they would be willing to offer Collins plus cash to Blackburn for Dann.http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif
Consider
Arsenalhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif are also thought to be monitoring developments due to the injury crisis at Emirates Stadium and Arsene Wengerhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif may decide to recruit reinforcements.
The Frenchman had doubts about Dann at the start of the season after a long lay-off but he has played regularly this season for Rovers.
It is understood that Blackburn would consider selling for the right offer but they do not want to lose Dann and Chris Samba, who has expressed a desire to leave.
If Rovers decide to sell Dann, they will be especially determined to keep Samba, and Steve Kean announced earlier on Thursday that two bids from an unnamed club had been rejected for the Congolese player.
:haha:
Scott Dann.
I hope we sign him.
I propose our chant be:
Dan. Dan. Dan. Dan. Dan. Dan. Dan. Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan!...........Dan!
Not a Jan transfer but probably another one that got away (mainly because we were only pretending to chase him). So many names linked with us but they always end up elsewhere, like Utd, Shitty, Chavs, Scousers and even the Y....ou know whos. Transfer windows are boring (assuming we aren't selling RvP and you never know, a cheeky sale and a nice little earner, it's been done before). Boring old transfer windows.

CHELSEA boss Andre Villas-Boas is plotting a summer swoop for highly-rated Lille playmaker Eden Hazard.
The Blues are weighing up a £25million bid for the Belgian international, who has scored seven goals in 19 league games this season.
However, Lille are likely to resist that approach as they value the 21-year-old nearer £33m.
Hazard is one of the most sought after players in Europe and is also being watched by Arsenal, Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
And in October, he revealed he is ready to quit the Ligue 1 outfit to move to one of Europe's big guns.
Hazard said: "I am ready to go to the next level at a big club.
"I won't leave in January. It would be silly to do so but it's my last season at Lille.
"I stayed with Lille this year because I still had things to work on and prove but now I'm ready.
"I feel able to play in another country."

He's ready to go to the next level at a big club. If that doesn't work out, he'll go to Arsenal, play well for a season and a half and then force a move to Barcelona/Real Madrid by 25. We know the score.
Do not want.

wen Coyle says Gary Cahill's representatives remain locked in talks with Chelsea, meaning he could figure for Bolton against Manchester United on Saturday.
A deal to take the England international to Stamford Bridge is edging closer, with the Blues having agreed a fee with the Trotters.
It was anticipated that a move would be pushed through this week, but the clock is ticking on Chelsea's effort to have everything put in place by the weekend.
With personal terms proving to be something of a stumbling block, there is a chance that Cahill will line up for Bolton in their meeting with North West rivals United at Old Trafford.
"Dialogue continues between Gary's agent and Chelsea," said Coyle.
"We accept it has probably been long-drawn. It is over two weeks ago that we agreed a fee.
"But sometimes that is the nature of football business. It can take that period of time.
"Gary is a Bolton player and until I hear something different in terms of negotiations being concluded between both parties, he will be in line to play against Manchester United."
Speculation
It has been suggested rival suitors have made their interest in Cahill known, however, this is news to Coyle, who insists Chelsea remain the only option for the 26-year-old at present.
"If other clubs are linked with him it is just speculation," added the Scot.
"We have agreed a fee with Chelsea. I have had no dialogue with any other club.
"We recognise it is the silly season but I don't deal in rumour. I only deal in fact.
"The fact is we have agreed a fee with Chelsea. We have not spoken to anyone else. That is where we are."

Chavs would be better off keeping alex tbh, better then cahill who seems to want to double his wages rather then play for a big team.
How Cahill's star has fallen!
Once sought after by the mighty Arsenal, now looling to sell his soul to Lumps and Big Man's mini cossa nostra!
Laughable thing is that he will go for about the same price offered by Wenger, (that some said we embarrassed ourselves by doing) even more laughable is if he doesnt go and has to stay at Bolton
Wenger  knows the price
Coyle :WUM: doesnt know his arse from his elbow
Cahill  doesnt know if he's coming or going
Sign Podolski. I couldn't face going into to work on February 1st to stare losing a sportsman's bet in the eyes...
When we don't sign anyone will be interesting to see whether we loan out Myachi and the Ox to get some first team time or we actually play them ourselves.
Might actually get to see Park who was either very unfit when he got here or is just shite
We still ain't signed no one, i see.
apparently we agreed a fee of around 8 million for cisse from lyon

The Premier League club have been hit with injuries to their full-backs, with Bacary Sagna,http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbshttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif and Andre Santos all all currently unavailable.
Thomas Vermaelenhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif and Francis Coquelin have filled in at left-back recently but they have also sustained injuries.
Wenger is hopeful that in the next few weeks he will be able to call upon some of those players but does not rule out the possibility of signing a new defender this month.
"At the moment we are exploring potential situations we can take advantage of but there is nothing concrete," the Frenchman told Arsenalhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif Player.
"Hopefully the players will come back very quickly now. With Carl Jenkinson we had very good news on his scan and he is starting to practice again, we have Thomas Vermaelen who is the first to come back, Bacary Sagna is evolving well and Santos is doing well too. Let's hope they all come back quickly.
Player scouting
"All over the world we have our eyes and we look for good [players].
"It is very simple in a situation like that. You might take a player who doesn't play at all somewhere, who is not necessarily fit quicker than a player who is injured. Or you take a young, potential player who has not made it somewhere.
"A player who plays anywhere in the world at the moment will not be available on loan, it doesn't exist. It can only be a guy who doesn't play or a promising player who has not yet made it completely who you could take advantage of.
"That is why it is not an easy situation. You have to consider that a guy who has not played for two months is not necessarily back quicker than Bacary Sagna or another player who is just coming back from injury."

But yes, brilliant! If we sign our own players we can pay much higher fees.

Anyone have any clue what's going on with this one?Quote:
Aly Cissokho (French pronunciation: [ali sis?ko], born 15 September 1987 in Blois) is a French football player of Senegalese descent who plays for English club Arsenal FC . He plays as a left back and has been described as a "sprightly left-back with good speed and stamina".
Odd because he'll be dead soon anyway?
I think the GW Reserves will get their first games against United.
But we'll have Kos single-handedly making us look awesome, so we won't be too exposed.
Unless Charlie's mentalness returns and he decides to streak again.
If I was a footballer and was understudy to Gibbs I'd be thrilled because I'd pretty know I'd be playing every week, season after season.....with perhaps and 10 minute break when he actually get's fit and then injured again (everyone can use a breather sometimes).
I really think he should do some of those accident commercials, he's the perfect candidate for them.
Yeah, it was just interesting that somebody had jumped the gun but it does tally with what Wenger has been saying and seems the most substantial rumour so far. After all, we need a striker so a defender is the most likely bet. I just hope we have enough beds in the treatment room to accommodate this guy.
We have some bloke from Oman on trial. A defender. No chance we'll do anything permanent for a full-back. It will kill Gibbs. Doesn't sound like such a bad idea, in fairness.
Yeah. . .half of me says stay with the patchwork defence that have been manning the castle recentlt but seeing Verms and Coq going down. . .its hard not to think the position is cursed. . .we see the CB become settled for troubles to move to another area.
But to bring in another could spell the end of Gibbs, I mean would thetre be any sense keeping him, on any given season in the past we seemed to have got through with Sagna and Clichy. . .last count we have four first team ready FBs (IMO Jenko can play)+the cover TV5 and Coq/DJ can give, to bring in another would be overload, no?
So Cahill off to Chelsea. . . .supposedly the future of the Chavs defence is set. . .looks a bit crap
Because Big Man cant have much more to give and is crap. . .Luiz is crap :fullstop: and Cahill is. . . .crap
Was watching the Serie A digest the other night and Prince Boateng scored a powerful goal from midfield. . .this seems to get a goal from time to time and is valuedby the Milan team
Question is. . .this guy was plying his trade with Pompey before Milan. . .how to he slip under the radar and does anyone think we missed out on a decent player
