No, I agree. I'm not suggesting Cahill is rubbish but he's somehow transmogrofied from being a pretty decent, up and coming player into a club saving footballing Jesus through being english, largely available and constant media cock sucking. To suggest that somehow he's miles away better than Mertesacker seems ignorant and cuntish to me. That could play some part in it, it is true. Obviously in Barcelona's case they have the benefit from many of the players having grown up together and already learnt where to play the ball and when, where it might take other sides years of first team action to even begin to reach that point.
