This lad is quality IMO. If we weren't well stocked at LB already I'd say we should go all out for him. He's the sort of player who will hold down his position for club and country for the next 10 years. Well worth the investment and it's a shame he'll probably fuck off to Chelsea at some point.Quote:

Don't get me wrong Draxler is a major talent but 40million is too much for him, we paid that for Ozil, Mata just went to Utd for 37mill and he's still quite young and very established in PL, CL & International.
Doubt we are trying to lowball because Schalke hold all the cards in that respect and can tie the player down until the summer for an even bigger fee then. I would think we are trying to structure the payments, some now, more based on results etc. It wouldn't really be a proper negotiation if we weren't trying to represent our club to the best advantage.
