Liverpool to make a move for Ings

:haha:
If they sign him it's hard not to see why some of the fans want him out. Is this really the calibre of player they need?
The supposed deal to loan him back is illegal anyway, so either this is his agent trying to drum up some extra cash/interest or we're the most amateurist bunch of tools in the league. Probably a bit of both.
Lambert will likely be gone in the summer, Origi will be back, who knows with Balotelli, Sturridge may be dead and Borini will still be here when he's 50.
Tbf to Ings; young, English, will improve. But yeah, not exactly going to get everyone going.
We need to replace Gerrard. I'm just thankful Delph is off the table.... for now. £40m bid for Barkley
My best friend is a liverpool fan and says rodgers hasn't got what it takes to operate in the high-calibre transfer market. He's used to buying average players cause he managed watford, reading etc. Suppose that's where a decent committee upstairs would help but you have amateurs up there.
Heard a few stories about lavezzi. That's the type of player you should be going for.
I have no idea who has control over our transfers. If you like Rodgers it's the committee, if not then it's all on him. Either way we need to improve because we're simultaneously getting knocked back on our main targets and then spunking money for players who rarely make a quick impact. There does just seem to be this lack of nous, especially when dealing with the big transfers.
As strange as it sounds though, I don't think as many people have warmed to Rodgers as they did to Rafa and (obviously) Dalglish. A lot of Liverpool fans are wary of him. I have to say, I'm probably one of them.
It would be nice to buy someone who is just good though. Not mental, not a prospect, not a gamble. Just a conventional, good, well thought of, normal player.
Ricky Lambert perhaps?
Mate says it's because he took over from Dalglish, and many were totally against sacking him because of his stature. So they don't warm to Rodgers for taking over from a great like that.
His transfers have been a joke though. 2-3 good players out of £200m+ worth of stock. Shocking.
The man is a total fraud, absolutely criminal the money he has spent on total dross.
Sturridge is without doubt his best signing and even then you could argue he's not worth the money because of his injury record.
33 league goals in what is essentially one and a half seasons is undoubtedly worth £12m.
