Well, Van Persie is on the list on the strength of his outstanding performances for us.

Awards in any fields are just stupid and pointless, more about the people making the decision thinking they are important, and that actual contribute something worthwhile.

I wish players and performers would just stop caring about these things, but these idiots love to have their egos stroke. And there is some financial incentives tied to these things.
