Bif hat-trick in this.
He should practice his close-range finishing from left-wing crosses. Podolski could have had about 35 assists in the last few weeks.
We probably shouldn't start Diaby if Whelan is playing.
Come on Errrrrrrsnal.
Arteta back.
Coq still out.
Vermaelen a doubt.
Gibbs retired.
Nacho has to play, we're fucked otherwise.
Lawro predictsQuote:
Arsenal v Stoke
The funny thing about Arsenal's deadline day signing of Malaga left-back Nacho Monreal is that it was forced upon them by the injury to Kieran Gibbs, but Monreal is actually a really good player.
Monreal has won seven caps for Spain and is in their squad to face Uruguay on Wednesday
It is typical Arsene Wenger, though, because he would not have signed Monreal if Gibbs had not picked up an injury this week.
The Gunners came back well to get a draw against Liverpool on Wednesday after being all over the place defensively and that is still a concern. I've already spoken about what QPR's new signing Chris Samba can offer teams - he is not the sort of defender who can pick a pass but he would have suited Arsenal down to the ground.
I don't see Stoke giving them too many problems at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, though. The Potters just don't win that many away games and they were also a bit lucky to escape with a draw against Wigan in midweek.
Potters boss Tony Pulis did not do too much business in the transfer window but he has bought young Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland, who I think will turn out to be a really good signing. Will that mean Asmir Begovic gets sold in the summer? Possibly, but they have got Butland to come in and, if he achieves his potential, then they have got a real talent there.
Lawro's prediction: 3-0
15-0 for us.
Going to put the layers on and the sunglasses for this one :cold:
