Side note - I also can't help but see the irony in that animated Nike advert as well. They've played their part in taking the soul from football and it's funny to see that sort of message in their advertisement. The local people haven't taken to this tournament because of the billions squandered on building stadiums instead of addressing real issues...I hope this tournament does enough to show the organising bodies that they need to change a few things.
