Good game . Good reactions from fans . Bad reaction from Giroud but we need to understand he is a human being and can't take all the shit every time.
Giroud was rash but it didn't deserve a red card. This is one of those occasions where the law is an ass, the player barely gets touched but goes down like a sack of spuds, rolls around like a fanny and knows he's going to get the player sent off. If Giroud had punched him or really properly head-butted him then fine, but he didn't. He just 'lost it' and confronted the player. Somehow in the modern game that is disgraceful and deserves a red card but falling over at the slightest contact and writhing around as though shot is fine.
Anyway, good result. QPR are awful but we had to dig in a bit when we went down to 10 men. Had to win that one with the other results.
Football is a game for pussies.
Unfortunately we all follow a sport where brownie points are given for conning the ref. Barely any mention of the QPR player behaving like a complete faggot but several mentions of Giroud supposedly going nuts. I've yet to see another sport where it's seen as a necessity to falsely manipulate situations in order to gain an advantage.
It's quite an embarrassing sport tbh.
Giroud just wanted New Year's off so he can spend it entertaining his side chick.
Made no sense for him to lose his cool like that.
He looked gutted as soon as he did it. Wasn't switched at all - should've gone down quicker than Sterling when Rio touched him. would've made it 10 v 10 and a stroll.
Good games from Alexis, Gibbs, Rosicky and Cathorrla. Welbeck, sort your life out son.
I was surprised with how Onuoha went down as by most reports (and even from a friend of mine who knows him) he's quite a decent guy and is about as unprovocative and inoffensive a centre half as Giroud will face in the prem all season.
His reaction was comical and embarrassing. A little shove in the back as if to say, how dare the likes of you put your dirty paws on me. Does he think he is Zidane/Henry??? We are in 6th position at Christmas, have a game in 2 days time in a London derby, are in total control of a game at home and you completely lose the plot for a little push in the back!??
It's not that he was stupid because of the level of force he did or didn't use, but stupid by doing something even remotely likely to get him a straight red right under the ref's nose. The referee probably would have been hauled into the committees office himself behind the scenes had he not acted.
Even Diego Costa would have had the nous to just 'remember it and get him later' rather than act out like that.
It's almost as if some professional's don't know that play acting goes on at times. FFS most of them do it themselves. Least he didn't remonstrate with the ref because he knew he got what he had coming and even Wenger himself didn't put up a defence to the decision.
