He's not been bothered about the cup for years. It's a shame that qualifying for the CL is deemed a higher priority than it now, but that's the nature of football these days. Another issue I've had in recent years is that we always seem to think it's one or the other, no, FA Cup games come around every 3 weeks and we should be capable of challenging for that as well as 4th in tandem, we wouldn't be going out of our way so to speak. It should be a challenge to relish and I don't get that vibe from the club anymore for the FA Cup.
I'd love to win this again, given we'd equal the Mancs record number of wins.
Champions League is compulsory? Will that mean Wenger  then if we don't make it?
Hope so.
Wenger OUT!
Comfortable win. . .Sanchez, is he allowed to play against us?
well obviously it is. thats why all the players say they want to win everything. as long as the players deliever thats all important. Wenger is not the only manager to feel this way about the club most managers in the prem do. Just the papers twisting his words again.
We've managed to stem the flow of wondergoals recently, so we're overdue. <_<
Wenger acts as if qualifying for the Champions League and winning the FA Cup cannot be achieved together, and that you have to sacrifice one to achieve the other. This is not true, because as MO says FA Cup games come every 3 weeks or so, therefore as long as your squad is strong enough to compete on multiple fronts (which it should be) there's no reason not to go for the FA Cup as well. If the squad isn't strong enough to go for the FA Cup, that's Wenger and the board's fault for failing to bring in high quality players to supplement the squad in the summer, which we all know is the case.

Wenger is so out of touch with the fans, none of whom see the FA Cup as simply for enjoyment, it's for winning. If this is the attitude we have going into this match, then there's every chance of a shock tonight.Quote:
The FA Cup is something that is for enjoyment.
Wenger is not the only manager to think this way, most managers feel the same As aw they just don't get caught out by the media as much. last season we were in 4 trophies around feb look how that worked out.
like you say if you sqaud is stong enough you should be able to compete. we get injuries every week so by the time the CL comes round you know we will be missing loads, which will make the manager play his top 11 in the CL not the cup and what ever happens in the cup happens.
were getting to the point where fans are seeing winning a trophy as the b all and end all.
I'll tell you if you go to the thread below and laugh at LDG.

He's coming home, he's coming, Thierry's coming home. :patrice:
 Bam!
:haha:
Henry on the bench tonight.
Ready for his Big Man moment.
Arsenal: Szczesny; Coquelin, Koscielny, Squillaci, Miquel; Song, Arteta(C); Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Arshavin; Chamakh.
Arsenal subs: Martinez, Yennaris, Benayoun, Ryo, Walcott, Park, Henry.
something magical about seeing Henry's name on the teamsheet again. the king is well and truely back where he belongs.
Why not put park, YFB and Ryo in the starting lineup and let them play ffs?!?
