Most remarkable thing about the match was the ref. Spent 70 minutes trying to keep Fellaini on the pitch and the last 20 wading into Utd with his cards, deservedly so.
Second most remarkable thing, Utd's diving. It really is pathetic. However, let's not talk about that. Instead, who remembers that dive by Pires?
Next was van Gaal. What a fraud. Does it really take a genius to come up with a plan to stick loobrush up top and lump it to him? Most memorable moment - Welbeck scoring the winner in what was like slow motion at the time. That's what perfection looks like. You desperately want something to happen and then it actually happens.
Alexis, Coquelin and Santi. super.
The rest of them had their moments, good and bad. Was good to see Monreal and Merts emerge from horrible performances in the first half and finish strongly.
Ozil put a ton of effort in too but his decision making was odd all through the match.
Ches provided the black humour. He looked and arch-clown compared to De Gea.
Wenger made a sensible sub, then got a bit unlucky with his later sub because the sending off changed things around. On balance he didn't fuck up and that's what most of us were asking before kickoff.
Hope Ox's injury is not serious. Again he showed glimpses of why he could develop into a world class talent. Fearless player - sometime good, sometimes bad.
Great to be winners.

Michael Oliver :bow: ........... said it before but he and Clattenberg are the best refs in the game. A more spineless ref like Taylor or Mike Jones would have caved into the pressure of Old Trafford and the home crowd. Do you know what that was like tonight? It was like one of those old Utd vs Arsenal games, the ones when they went a fair way to deciding the title. Both sides going at one another. Loved it (with a side dish of “where are my heart pills” towards the end). Even had we not won I’d still have been very happy with the way we played tonight, obviously the result was a rather nice bonus.
WE DID IT! We know this lot have it in them, Utd aren’t that good. The keep getting results but they are NOT that good. It was about time this lot stood up and showed what they can do in a game like this, and we did. Fantastic. Oh, and a shout out to the ref who made 2 excellent decisions after Utd dives, would have been so easy to give the home team the decision with the crowd baying for it.
