Not really sure why any of these players care about being selected? That's what I think too. And I wouldn't be against it. It's just about the one team he can't fuck up, and it'd be interesting to see if he could introduce a bit of football into the England set up, rather than the pub hackathon we are so used to. I think he's a pretty good footballer and a decent enough striker.
He's not going to win you titles or World Cups though.
But yes, views are always so polarised in football, he's nowhere near as bad as some make out.
