Craig David is apparently part of the supporting staff for Team GB.
He's working with the archery team as the bow selector.

Should be, but somehow I'm not

Daley and Williams get Silver in the 10m synchronised diving.
Gold in Equestrian event and in Cross country Cycling.
I met an athlete near the Olympic park. I asked “Are you a Pole Vaulter?” He said “No, I’m German… and how do you know my name?
It's a trap...

Gold in the 4x200m swimming relay
Also Muzza and Evans pubbed it through again last night, another match tiebreak where they were behind
All great fun but not sure how long they can keep it up, in any case if they make the final then Rafa and Alcaraz will cruise it
I saw someone raising an eyebrow that the US hasn't won a single medal in the shooting events
Muzza out
I don’t understand the narrative that he was part of a “big 4”.
It’s probably fair to say he was the best of the rest but the big 3 were a level above him.
Good career though
Hmmm dunno he was much closer in ability to the top three than he was the rest of the pack
He was world no1 at the end of 2016, and probably (although never would have come close to those three with grand slams) would have picked up a lot more of them if not for the hip injury that he never really recovered from
Don’t get me wrong the top three are freaks of nature and he wasn’t quite at that level I agree but not perhaps as far off as you’re stating given the amount of grand slam finals he was consistently making, the ATP titles he won and not to mention back to back gold medals at the Olympics
Special player unfortunate to be around at the time he was
I actually don’t think it’s unlikely that Murray has been in a Tennis match and thought something like “I'm glad I'm serving for the match because i need to go to the locker rooms and drop the kids off at the pool”. You get the old comfort break to take another meeting with Armitage Shanks, and even though most of the fluid you take on is sweated out of your body if you’re in a five hour five setter there’s got to be a moment where you’re desperate for a slash at the very least
Something on the BBC "Is Murray Britain's greatest sportsperson"
That's a hard no.
I'd agree it's not that clear - a mate also threw Hamilton's name into the ring.
I think Redgrave (Steve, not Vanessa) is worth a shout. 5 Olympics in a row, although I guess it being in a team dilutes that somewhat.
Hoy?
Daley Thompson? (holy shit, 40 years ago that was!)
It's really hard to compare across sports and eras.
Redgrave would be right up there for me for sure, Thomson yes, Hamilton also, I think Murray's not the best ever but to even be able to occassionally break up the usual winning pattern in men's tennis in this era is a real feat.
I was trying to think of Britons who completely dominated their sport but the ones I could think of were people like Phil Taylor in darts and people like Hendry, Davis and O'Sullivan in snooker. Both sports which are quite UK-centric anyway.
Well back in the day I would have said Daley Thompson.

Show offs :sulk:
I did, didn't I? Okay, fair point.
But I'm talking about sickos who like beating up women or seeing women getting beaten up by men. Very different, you have to be genuinely disturbed to support that. You equated Coe's politics with his ability to be the best 800m runner of all time, which he was. That's just juvenile.
