Too close to comfort IMO. If Palace score and get that away goal, I'm going to cry.
IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT? IS IT?!!
Need more care in the final third.
Don't give a shit. They are just paying to see who will lose the final. I guess they are hoping to play Citeh so they end up with a Europe League place.
Webb
1-0 HT.
Claridge. You're not going to be able to join the Boys' Club if you're causing arguments with Hansen.
OG Hansen, you're not having that one!
And what a freekick that was too. Ho hum.
I dunno. I was only WUMing. I got the impression he only started to become a good player for Cardiff after a season or two in the team. Scores quite regularly now though.
Similar case when Arsenal sold Sidwell to Villa and Seb Larsson to Birmingham. Both could've done a job for Arsenal a couple of seasons later but they needed to play at the time, I suppose.
Tell you what - these new stadiums really do kill the atmosphere. At Ninian Park, it used to be so intimidating for English teams.
WUMmery it may have been, but you know, "no truer words when spoken in jest" and that :good:
Took a long time for his best position to become apparent which worked against him, but always was at least capable. (More ability than - say - Craig Gardner, a fellow utility man but one who could/can just shoot, and not much else. )I remember an inch-perfect cross for Barry's goal against Reading way back when. He probably IS a Championship player all told, but again, to let him go for just 300K was plain stoopid.
Not far away from Whittingham.
Very tight game atm.
Get Earnie on!
McCarthy sent off.
12 minutes to go. Palace down to 10.
FINISH HIM!!!
McNaughton on
No Andy Legg but a great servant for the club.
Where's Earnie tbf.
The second commentator (the one who talks less) is hilarious. A proper ghel. Thinks nothing is a foul and thinks everyone is diving.
FFS - what a chance for Cowie. Needed 739587598754 hours to get his shot away though.
Villa do have a habit of letting a lot of decent players (Cahill, Whittingham, Gardner) leave for nothing.
Delfouneso in three years at Coventry .
On to extra time.
I switched on to hear a "dead and burried" from Hansen.
Robots .
1-0 FT, 1-1 on aggregate.
Next goal the winner, pretty much - if Cardiff get one, they'll probably exploit the extra man advantage and net another. If Palace score, they'll park the bus and hold out on away goals at least.
Tense stuff. Goosebumps tbh.
Come on Cardiff.
Come on Football.
But most importantly, come on Wales.
Might watch the penalty shoot out if it comes to that.
Wouldnt have seen a minute of the previous 210 minutes though
Pretty much every pub team song has been played in the interval. Including 'Hey Jude'.
Brings a tear to the eye.
All jokes aside - for extra time of a pub league game, is the standard of football not quite good? Quick passes, to feet - good technique. Good stuff.
Cowie misses again.
Get him off. The prick.
We want Earnie tbh.
The last half hour has been the most one-sided contest you'll see. If Cardiff don't get through, they're basically Arsenal.
Cowie off, Gestede on.
Keown?
Or are you watching it on another channel?
It's sad to Syn showing more passion and spirit for this match than any Arsenal match in the last 34 years.
Just need Maccy to open a dedicated match thread for Bolton v Wigan and be genuinely enthusiastic about it for the death of Arsenal F.C. to be complete.
:rose:
1-1 (on agg.) at HT in ET
Ah, of course it's Keown! But he has a generic pub-team voice tbf to me.
Palace manager is sort of doing a Phil Brown with some pub-stunt team-talk.
Now or never for Cardiff. They won't win on penalties. They're the biggest bottlers around - if the last 7 years of play-off pain is evidence enough.
Cardiff hit the bar.
This is torture.
What a chance for Gestede. Shit header.
Bar again!
:haha:
