Gunners scouts have watched Cornelius over ’10 times’

Arsenal are ready to step-up their interest in FC Copenhagen youngster Andreas Cornelius, according to reports in Denmark
The Gunners’ have sent Scandinavia-based scout Bobby Bennett to watch the Danish striker in action ‘over 10 times’.
Highly-rated Cornelius, who has scored 14 goals in 20 matches for Copenhagen this season, has revealed his delight at being scouted by a club as big as Arsenal.
“This is obviously a pat on the back for me knowing that such a big club is watching me. And if they’ve seen me so many times, it shows you it is not just a coincidence”, Cornelius said.
“I do not think about it, because I have a long contract at FC Copenhagen and have developed really well there. As long as there is nothing concrete, then I think only about FC Copenhagen.”
6ft 4in frontman Cornelius has been rather worryingly dubbed the ‘next Nicklas Bendtner’ due to his excellent technique and astute aerial ability.
The 19-year-old is tied to FCK until 2016 and this week it was revealed Manchester United had a bid of €5 million turned down for him last year.
No thanks.
