Exactly. Even if we get Arteta and Benayoun we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that this has been a dreadful summer when it comes to our transfer dealings. We are weaker at the end of the window than we were at the start, no doubt about it.

i think you're over egging it slightly. would we prefer a risk on a better player that takes 6-12 months to bed in or good players that can get into it straight away?

no one is loosing sight, these buys are panic buys. Do you beileve we have a right to be in the top 4 because of who we are because i don't. Right now there are 4 teams better then us. The board are not expecting us to sign the league IMO. I agree we should be winning trophies though.

If the Arteta deal goes through and we can get m'villa too, ill be happy and feel we should have enough to challenge till jan window but i think there we will need to buy if we have a good chance to get top 4 by then.

Not really There is and 1:20 Mins left, he could have agreed personal terms and all that it could just be the fee that needs to be agreed tbh.

I agree if we do drop out the top 4 those mentioned should take the blame.
