I read that carefully, and to me, reading between the lines, it appeared the club did not give a shit about what his ambitions were as the club captain. I believe he took umbrage over that. That would explain why he made it a point in his statement saying he wanted the fans to know the truth.

We all recall PHW publically saying his own club's captain (cesc) wouldn't make Barca's starting line-up, an attempt to peg him down. That's how fucked up this club's management is! How much did cesc feature at Barca last season?

I'm sure I've made this point before but I, like many other fans support the club, not individual players.

If he doesn't want to play for us anymore then fine, fuck him.

If he wants to go abroad, fair enough.

Well, booing players have been around forever though --- and I am sure Man U fans will cheering him loudly in return. But as I said, ultimately, rivalry or not, he has a better chance of winning trophies as well as making more money.
